...because home doesn't happen overnight.

I’m not a regular coffee drinker but, lately, I’ve been enjoying a cup every once in a while in front of the fireplace.  It must be the chilly, snowy weather we’re having here.  As of right now, I own a boring matched set of 4 coffee mugs.  They’re nothing spectacular but, since Handy Hubby doesn’t drink coffee at all, we don’t really have a need for more.  Still, I had fun rounding up several cozies and mugs available over on Etsy.

I’m not sure these cozies are necessary – or even practical – but they definitely have a way of dressing up an otherwise boring mug.  If you can knit or sew, they’d be a quick DIY gift, wouldn’t they?  {Note to self: make mug cozies as Christmas gifts next year.}  The knitted sweater cozies add great texture while the sewn fabric wrap lends color and pattern.  Adorable.  Find them here:

2 – Boutique Karma

These hand painted mugs are colorful and lively…just the pick-me-up to go along with a steaming cup of coffee in the morning.  Again, a totally plausible DIY project that would make a great gift. {Another note to self:  if the mug cozies don’t work out, try hand painted mugs instead.}  See these bright and happy mugs here:

So, the question of the day is…Do you drink coffee? If so, what’s your fave and how do you take it?  Milk, creamer, sugar?  Is a cup of joe part of your daily routine or do you only partake on special occasions?  I’m into Archer Farms’ French Vanilla at the moment.  {It’s available at Target.}  I like it with milk and sugar.  I drink maybe 3 or 4 cups a month and thoroughly enjoy them.  Although, if this winter weather keeps up, I may find myself delving into it more frequently!

FYI – I was not compensated in any way for this post.  I just love sharing yummy stuff.

I drink a cup in the morning and a cup around 3pm just to keep my mojo up (when I’m at work). I love the ‘sweater cups’ you have at the top, they’re adorable. I’ve got t oget one!

Usually I go with International Delights hazelnut cream or just black with Splenda or just coffee and cream. I try to mix it up depending on my mood :)

those cozies are adorable! in Australia, we saw a lot of people with cozies for their teapots, and I wish I had purchased one then…maybe it’s time to look for a pattern to knit!

I don’t drink coffee any more, but I am a tea drinker My drink of choice is Tazo Chai (with milk). I put a little egg nog in it this morning, yum!

I adore coffee. Absolutely adore it. I love the smell, the taste, everything. Love, love, love. I switched to decaf last summer and have one to two mugs each morning. In the summer I make iced coffee by brewing strong coffee at night and sticking it in the fridge ’til morning. Love, love, love.

I’ve slowly grown into my coffee habit and am now a cup (or travel mug!) a day kinda girl. My husband makes it for us every morning before work. My current favorite flavor is Dunkin’ Donuts Hazelnut, but I’m also a huge fan of the Archer Farms flavors.

Not a coffee drinker, but a huge tea drinker. If I didn’t already have upwards of 20 mugs, I’d be hopping on board with the “Sometimes She Does” ones.

I didn’t drink a lot of coffee until I had children that kept me up all night, haha :) Now I drink a cup every morning and I loooove it. I actually am not a huge fan of flavored coffee, weird maybe? No sugar, but I do like cream (fat free half and half, actually!) and sometimes a teensy bit of flavored creamer (but not a whole bunch — it’s SO sweet!)

The mug cozies are a-dorable, and I’m gonna have to bookmark them for next Christmas too! Not that I can knit or crochet or anything, but I have 11 months to figure that one out, right?

Anna – I don’t know how to knit either! Maybe we can learn together? My mom has tried to show me about 100 times but I can’t get it bc she’s right-handed while I’m left-handed. Grrr.

Those cozies are lovely – and, if you’re like me with a bunch of mismatched, free-ad-type mugs, a set of these sleeves would pull everything together nicely!

i love coffee and currently i am obsessed with iced coffee that I get from Wholefoods – No Brew. it can also be heated up with milk too, so rather than using one of my mugs to drink out of (thanks so much for the feature), I use one of my many tall glasses for it. Once the weather gets much colder I heat it up.
BTW , I am a left handed part time knitter – wish i could teach you how to knit

Carole – Oh, how I wish you could teach me to knit! And that iced coffee sounds delish.

So glad I’m not the only one! We should tackle it together for sure ;) A couple years ago I bought the cutest pattern on etsy for a crochet hat because it was less expensive than the hat itself, and I figured it couldn’t be TOO hard, right? Yeah. Well. 2 years later and I have a bag with some hooks, cute green yarn and the world’s ugliest 2 x 2 green potholder. :)
