...because home doesn't happen overnight.

*THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.*

Congrats to Barbara who was confused as to why my stenciled nook looked different than the examples shown by Cutting Edge. Here was my explanation: If you look at the stencil here the black shows the openings of the stencil. The examples on the website are of darker colors stenciled onto lighter walls. I did the opposite – lighter paint stenciled onto a darker background color {even though they’re both pretty light}. To get the effect seen on the Cutting Edge website, paint your walls the lightest color first as the background then stencil a darker color on top!

I shared my stenciled laundry nook wall last week and this week I’m so excited for one of you to win a stencil for yourself!

Cutting Edge Stencils makes DIY decorating easy and affordable. Stenciled patterns can add visual interest or create focal points. Even better, the stencils at Cutting Edge are reusable so you can bring in some of the pattern on your walls onto furniture or fabrics for a coordinated {but not matchy!} look. If you’ve never attempted to DIY a stenciled wall, check out this video tutorial for no fail instructions.

Okay. Who wants one?!

PRIZE: one Cutting Edge Stencil up to a $50 value

RULES: You must be at least 18 years old and have a U.S. shipping address {no P.O. boxes please} to enter. One entry per email address.

HOW TO ENTER: Leave a comment on this post proclaiming “STENCIL ME IN!”

DEADLINE: Enter before Friday, November 16th at noon EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced later that same day.

WHILE YOU’RE AT IT: Since we’re talking stencils…click over to Cutting Edge Stencils and browse around. Pick which stencil you’d like to win and then hop back over here and share your pick along with how/where you would use it in your home. I’ve shown three of my favorite stencils above. Stenciling has never looked so good. And how fabulous is that declawed claw foot tub? I adore the curved wooden legs.

What *I* want and what my husband will “tolerate” are two different things. I LOVE the paisley one, but if I win, I’m more than likely going to have to go with something more toned down. I love the budding clematis stencil, which I could possibly get away with putting in the laundry room :)
