08.07.13 / Adding Some Color

boys color

HH is out of town this week. His return date keeps getting pushed back. I always find something to keep me busy while he’s away. As if three kids aren’t enough! I’m working on adding a little color to the boys’ room. Here’s a sneak peek to hold you over until I’m able to come up for air. Happy hump day!

I love that splash of color! I’ve been know to rearrange furniture while my hubs is out of town, so I think adding a little stool is completely normal.

Funny! I was just walking next to a wall at work painted nearly the same color of the wall in your picture. I thought of the very same yellow and orange shades and then thought I have probably been reading too many home blogs!

Love the shelf! Did you remove the striped wallpaper?

Nope, it’s still there! It’s on a wall by the other bookshelf.

Is the print shown another of your etsy finds? I’ve been looking for artwork on etsy and it’s kinda overwhelming, so I’m always glad for some shortcuts!

Hi,
I was wondering what the wall color is in this room? Thanks!

It’s Valspar {Lowe’s} dry riverbed.

We have that same step stool … did you add anything to the bottom of it to prevent it from skidding/sliding?

No, I haven’t added pads or anything to the feet. We’ve had it for years and haven’t had problems with it sliding so I’ll probably leave it as-is.

I have serious color issues. We moved into our house in November, and our entire interior (with the exception of kids’ rooms) is a bunch of neutrals with barely anything on the walls. I can’t figure out how to begin!

Where did you get the window blind cord holder? I’ve been looking everywhere for one that’s metal!
