*THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.*

Congrats to Jen who loves the Back Alley Table and thinks it will be perfect for her kitchen!

I am so excited to host this giveaway and introduce you to Seed Furniture! The L.A.-based furniture company not only creates beautiful pieces but also focuses on sustainability, craftsmanship and innovation.

seed furniture

*design – the company successfully mixes a midcentury modern aesthetic with rustic and contemporary styles. The resulting designs are timeless, putting the word “forever” in forever furniture.

*sustainability – the company utilizes FSC certified wood and soy-based, formaldehyde-free glue. Much of the hardwood comes from a stockpile in New Jersey formed from the cleanup efforts following Hurricane Sandy.

*craftsmanship – each piece is custom made-to-order by local artisans and workers. That’s right. All items are made right here in the USA.

*innovation – all finishes are non-toxic and contain no VOC’s. Wood is finished with a combination of bees wax + walnut oil. Lacquer finishes are composed of Mythic Paint and Smart-Coat.

And you know how much I despise unsightly electrical cords, right? Well, Seed Furniture implements these crazy cool power portals which contain electronic outlets and USB hubs strategically built into their media pieces. No ugly dangling cords!

Oh, absolutely the L.A. Noire for my sweet husband. He is a trained furniture maker, but now that he’s in the business world working from a home office, he can’t find the time to make himself a real desk. He’s using one he pulled out of heavy trash pick-up and an Ikea table. Poor guy! He deserves something beautiful to work on. He’d love the strong simple design of this piece. Plus, it solves his nest of tangled cords problem! Love it!

I love the Barnyard bureau. I live in a house built in 1850, which I am slowly, lovingly, updating. The Barnyard bureau would look fabulous and fit the style of the house as well! And would coordinate with the 1890 barn on the property that my 21 year old son has taken over for his own diy projects.

Would love to have a new table. The back alley is beautiful. However it would be hard to pass up the city lights bedside table…,,,

The Downtown Loft is the most gorgeous bureau I have ever seen! I would put this in my son’s room, I sold his matchy matchy nursery furniture to invest in quality pieces over time and have been holding out for the perfect dresser. His clothes are stored in baskets right now, would be amazing to win :)

I would love one of the boxcars to use as a media cabinet/tv stand in the living room. Our $50 target clearance one is not going to survive our upcoming move and I’m determined to replace it with something that can outshine the man’s TV :)

I love the Downtown Loft! I would put this in my son’s room since we’ve neglected to do any updates in there in a very long time. My husband made his dresser but it’s HUGE and tall. It would be nice to update his room and start giving it some attention in there.

There is serious competition between The Open Air shelving system and the Queen Mary.. the Open Air shelving system would work perfectly in my NYC apartment now for much needed storage, however it is so flexible that it would be a lifetime piece anywhere we go. The Queen Mary.. well who doesn’t love when organization meets a good time? This is more of a dream piece for me… sigh.

It’s a close call between the Barnyard and City Loft dressers. I’ve been searching for something close to these for quite some time. And it would definitely go in my bedroom!

15.April.2014

Ooooo… this is tough, between the Barnyard and the Sunset Beach! Both would fit well in our rustic meets modern(ish) house. We don’t have enough storage space in the kitchen, and I know both of these pieces would work great on the office wall (which is next to the kitchen). Love this line!

I’m torn between The Bright Lights which can go in my office or in the master bedroom for jewelry storage and then there is the Modern Times table that I’m a little head over heels in love with. We are in much need of a new kitchen table and this would be perfect so we don’t damage our bank account! We have the in-law hand-me down at the moment and I’m about ready to take a sledge hammer to it!

I’m loving The Queen Mary. I would look fantastic in my kitchen/eat-in dining area that is just begging for a bar. I think it was meant to be because my husband just came home with the Hendricks gin in the picture (“because it was on sale”).
