...because home doesn't happen overnight.

*THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED*

Remember these cutie patootie moving postcards I purchased from Etsy recently to officially announce our new address? I am smitten with them.

Now you have a chance to grab up some custom stationery from Jack & Ella Paper Press too! Lucky for you, the shop owner is offering up $40 worth of free paper goods to one House*Tweaking winner.

So maybe you don’t need moving postcards…that’s okay!  Jack & Ella carries a wide array of custom stationery for nearly every formal and informal occasion.  Weddings, birthdays, recipe cards, holidays, gift tags, life events…Jack & Ella has you covered.

Don’t forget those everyday moments either.  This Etsy seller even has lunch box and love notes available to let your someone special know that they’re, well…special.

With emphasis on simple style and eco-friendly design, Jack & Ella prints on recycled card stock and frequently uses twine to bundle orders.  To check out the shop’s entire inventory click here and to follow Jack & Ella on Facebook click here.

Do you have a special announcement to make or are you looking for fun yet stylish invitations? Maybe you just need some monogrammed notecards handy at a moment’s notice?  Whatever your reason, here’s how to win some custom stationery of your own:

  • PRIZE:  $40 worth of paper goods from Jack & Ella Paper Press
  • RULES:  You must be at least 18 years old and have a street mailing address {no P.O. boxes} within the U.S.  One entry per email address.
  • HOW TO ENTER:  Leave a comment on this post proclaiming “WRITE ME!”
  • DEADLINE:  Enter before Thursday, September 22nd at 9:00 p.m. EST.  The winner will be picked at random and announced Friday, September 23rd.
  • WHILE YOU’RE AT IT:  Tell me a unique characteristic of your own handwriting.  I’ll go first…I detest my handwriting.  I’m left-handed so 95% of the time my writing is smudged.  My freehand writing {with no horizontal lines to guide me} is always slanted.  The only time I ever write in cursive is when I sign my name to something and, even then, it’s barely legible.  I prefer to print. I’d love to have beautiful handwriting but since I’ve been at it for close to 30 years now, I think it’s a lost cause.  To make my writing appear ‘better’, I rewrite almost everything at least once {usually more than that} and I write with a fine Sharpie or other fine marker.  My writing always turns out nicer in marker.  Weird.  The good news?  I’m much better at typing than handwriting.

FYI – I paid for my Jack & Ella postcards with my own money.  I am not being compensated for hosting this giveaway.  I just love sharing great Etsy finds!

Write me!!! I’d love some new monogrammed notecards! I actually kind of like my handwriting, I’m a teacher so I try to be a good model for the kiddos. :)

WRITE ME! I’m left-handed too, so I know what you mean about smudged writing. Being a leftie is why I never, ever use a pencil. So annoying!

18.September.2011

Write me!
I’m left-handed as well. My hand writing can be super neat w/out me trying, or can be totally illegible. It’s unique because I write with caps and lowercase letters (and cursive) intertwined together.

18.September.2011

Write me! Not sure what is unique about my handwriting style, other than it changes frequently. It’s always been that way, though, even if I try to keep it the same!

18.September.2011

write me! -my hand writing is always half cursive and half normal… I have preferred cursive since kindergarten when I saw the cursive alphabet and refused to try the normal alphabet…I was so stubborn :D

18.September.2011

WRITE ME!
I love writing hand written notes- they just seem so personal and old timey… :) MY hand writing is awful- my brain goes faster than my hand and I always end up skipping words.. :/ then when i re-read it- it makes no sense because i left out the most important words usually… :( lol!!!

18.September.2011

Write me! Thanks for the giveaway. My handwriting is just…well, average. But my husband actually has a really cool stylized cursive, so I always make him sign birthday cards and such for us ;)

By the way, I adore your blog. We are renovating a house similar to yours, but in smaller pieces as we save up. I’m especially excited to see the progress of your bathrooms – it’s been challenging to find inspiration for older bathrooms with small footprints like ours.

Keep up the great work!

18.September.2011

Write me, y’all!

I’ve always had an obsessed with writing things by hand. In high school, I would love to write out all my essays and assignments, and if I made one tiny mistake on the page, I would have to start all over. OCD? Possibly. I’m not a perfectionist about many things, but writing is definitely one of them!

18.September.2011

WRITE ME! I would love to win…what lovely goods.
xo Jana

18.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting looks exactly like my dad’s. We both write very neatly and in all caps, but his signature is so distinct I could never master forging it in school!

18.September.2011

Write me! The most distinctive thing about my handwriting, I think, is how variable it is in spacing. If I have to write something out more than once, it always takes up less space the second time because I get much neater as I go along.

18.September.2011

WRITE ME! :) I studied architecture, so my handwriting tends to lean towards all-caps most of the time.

18.September.2011

WRITE ME!!!!

I unknowingly switch from print to cursive and back again in the middle of sentences, words, whatever. The less time I take on writing a note the less consistent my style gets. Maybe this could be a resolution for 2012… seems simple enough.;)

18.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting is a lot like my older brother’s, both printed and cursive. I learned to write by copying him. 3 decades later, I can fool the family–and him–by adding a bit more angularity to my script.

18.September.2011

WRITE ME! I love writing out addresses on envelopes- especially with a nice calligraphy marker :)

19.September.2011

Write Me!
I can still remember how excited I was to learn how to write in cursive in 2nd grade. It makes me sad that my kids won’t spend much time learning cursive writing in school.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

While I liked my handwriting, I wanted to make it more “mine” so I started picking a few letters to change up a bit. It took only a few weeks to reteach myself, but like I do my “R”s capital style, even small. It’s a tweak that makes it feel more my own.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My writing gets compliments that it looks really nice–but also no one can read it. One time our son called and asked me to decipher what I had written to him on his birthday card…

19.September.2011

Write Me! I like my handwriting now more than ever. I think it’s b/c I’ve finally come into my own-at age 41!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

When writing using lowercase, if a word ends with an “r” I like to make it an upper case “R”. Random, I know. I love the way it looks. I love that my last name ends with an “R”;)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I tend to write in either all capital letters or this awful combination of script and print. The letter ‘s’ could look different in the same word — i.e.: success.

19.September.2011

Write Me!! I have good handwriting, thanks to a very strict third grade teacher who made us miss recess if our handwriting was not perfect. At 8 years old I hated it but now I am so grateful for her because I have great cursive and print.

19.September.2011

Write me! My handwriting is a little messy, but I love that it resembles my mom’s. I used to pretend that I worked in an office like her as child and so I think that’s when I started emulating her writing. Too bad working in an “office” isn’t quite as exciting as an adult! ;)

19.September.2011

write me!!

i too am left-handed but i don’t write crooked like most lefties. also i write in cursive 90% of the time…it makes me sad that they don’t teach kids that anymore!

19.September.2011

Write Me! I love good handwriting and have spent time practicing since I was a little girl.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!

I’ve always had a knack for cursive writing. In the 3rd grade I was THE best cursive writer. I still have a cursive style to my print…it adds a little flare to the end.

19.September.2011

Write me! I have good handwriting…but it seems like I rarely use it anymore. Off to go hand write something now!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting changes all the time but I use ALL CAPS most of the time. Even when I write all in CAPS somehow the “E” is always different, I sometimes write everything uppercase and leave the “e” lowercase or sometimes I’ll make it an uppercase “E”…. confusing?? yea… I don’t know, I have a weird habit.

I think my handwriting looks better when I use Markers too.

19.September.2011

Write me! I am surprised every year when I receive reminder post card in the mail from my dentist or eye doctor that it is time for my annual check-up. . . I always look at the postcard card and say, “Hey, that looks just like my handwriting.” … then quickly realize that it actually IS! Duh… :) (In case your doctor’s don’t do this…They always have me address one to myself for the following year’s reminder mailings.)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!
i have bad handwriting. i use a mix of cursive and print. my biggest problem is that because of the combination i tend to chop off h’s after t’s which look like “tne” instead of “the”. i’m always going back and adding the stick to h’s, b’s, d’s etc.

btw, love your blog, used your kitchen as inspiration for our kitchen remodel. the biggest downer was we chose a different backsplash, oy vey! like the backsplash, like the granite, but don’t like it together. just read some advice on a different site that recommended not to add the 4 in granite on the bottom and to stick with a solid toned backsplash for longevity. ugh, the problem is that our granite “black pearl” contains black/gray which looks blue toned and the backsplash is taupe/gray which gives it a brown tone. so they are two different color families. the 4 in trim of granite on the bottom just exaggerates the difference. if it were not there it might have been livable. so we are spent and i can’t stand seeing the clash. other people swear they can’t see it but i’m like how can you not! anyone with advice? or been there? who did you live with it?

19.September.2011

Write Me!

I love to be able to hand write letters and cards, and in this day and age of electronic everything no one writes letters or cards anymore. I went to catholic school and in those days penmanship was a subject and graded as such (and this grade was always an A+). I write whenever I get a chance!!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!

I feel like certain pens make my handwriting better – like they fit it my hand and flow smoother or something. I have some pens that I love and think make my writing look nice but I don’t think they make them anymore and they are almost our of ink. Sad :(

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!
I am right handed but I still always seem to smudge my writing, though my handwriting isn’t great to start with! I seem to always forget this when writing a birthday card, the bottom of my pinky finger becomes an efficient stamping pad by the end! Must buy quick dry pens! Love that all products are 100% recycled

19.September.2011

“WRITE ME!” Those are SOO cute!! I write tons of thank you notes! These would be great! :) Erin

19.September.2011

Write me! I really like my print handwriting. I suppose I should since I was the kid (ok teenager) who spent countless hours working on my handwriting. I am a middle school teacher, but in my undergraduate courses everyone said I had elementary school teacher handwriting (middle/high school teachers are notorious for terrible handwriting).

19.September.2011

Write Me: My handwriting is the worst. It drove my grandmother crazy. Especially, since I skipped the grade where you were taught cursive. My grandmother thought cursive was very important so she had a workbook for me to practice with. I never learned it but she found the workbook recently and gave it to me. I am 29. Still gets her goat that I never learned, lol.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I used to love my handwriting, but it has gotten so much worse the less I handwrite things and the more I type. I don’t even have a consistent signature. One thing I do love about my signature is that one of the two ways I am most likely to sign looks so much like my mom’s signature and her mother before her.

19.September.2011

Write me! I like my handwriting but it definitely looks better when I consiously slow down and take my time.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I have terrible handwriting which is annoying because I work hard at it. And I love to hand-write notes but I think it’s more work for the recipient!

19.September.2011

Write me! I never write in cursive unless I am signing my name. In fact, I have forgotten how to write certain letters in cursive. I also use uppercase letters in place of lowercase letters all the time just to change things up a bit.

19.September.2011

Write me!! I like my handwriting, and use it on almost all my scrapbook layouts. It reminds me of my mom’s handwriting.

19.September.2011

Write me! I’m an architect, so I should have nice handwriting, but mine is really terrible.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I absolutely love my handwriting. Is that pompous? I have always cared so much about having good handwriting, and it always seems to be evolving based on my newest likes and dislikes. Happy Tweaking!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting has changed drastically over the years and I finally like it. However, there are days when it is just off. Why does this happen!? Print is my preferred style and I, too, love writing with a fine tip Sharpie marker.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting is a blend of print and cursive. I always think back to my 5th grade teacher telling us that after that year we would always have to write in cursive in school. What lies they tell you in school! I never used cursive exclusively after that. Anyway, sometimes I think back to that teacher and wonder if she would be disappointed in my penmanship as an adult.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! Hate my handwriting- I only sign my name, everything else I print….only use fine tip markers!!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!

I have pretty sloppy handwriting but when I REALLY try it comes out alright. It is definitely a mix between print and cursive, and it looks like a 12 year olds. In high school I used to make circles for the dots on my “I’s”.

I am moving from an apartment to my very own home in a few weeks so these notes would come in extra handy. :)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting looks like my moms, which came in handy in high school.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! my handwriting is schizophrenic…sometimes barely legible, sometimes perfect, most of the time a tad bit sloppy.

19.September.2011

Write Me! I don’t think my handwriting is all that great but people say I have nice handwriting. I am lefthanded too!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I feel like because I type so much, I can hardly handwrite! lol! However, I enjoy sending handwritten letters (military spouse), but I usually have to write very slowly or I end up with lots and lots of scribbles… :-)

19.September.2011

Write me! My handwriting always looks better in pen or marker as well.

19.September.2011

Write me! I’m not a big fan of my handwriting, but I’m trying to get better since my daughter is learning to write and I thought I should set a good example :)

19.September.2011

Write me!

I despise my handwriting as well. My printing looks like a 9 year old slopped it while my cursive looks like a 90 year old wrote it. No fun!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I kind of like my handwriting. There’s nothing special about it, and it’s not consistent. Sometimes it’s cursive. Sometimes print, and sometimes just a mixture between cursive and print (that’s my personal favorite).

19.September.2011

Write Me!! I’d love these for Christmas cards!

19.September.2011

Write Me!! I actually like my handwriting most of the time. I’ve started writing in all caps, which is new for me, but I think I picked it up from my husband… Anyway, I love all of these designs and would love to win! Thanks!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I used to have neat handwriting, but you know what happens to handwriting as a pharmacist. You write really fast which leads to messy. I was recently told my handwriting “really sucks for a girl.”

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I’m trained as an architect so I really “should” be writing in all caps all the time, but I’m too darn impatient so mostly I just scrawl it out. Thats what computers are for, right?

19.September.2011

“WRITE ME!” Love all the products on the site! My handwriting is pretty good… when I need it to be :)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! The note cards are beautiful!

19.September.2011

Write ME! I tend to do much of what has already been mentioned, print, mostly caps, switching to cursive for random words or letters, and truthfully, I’m not thrilled with my handwriting. But, as they say, it is what it is. I love reading/perusing your blog though. Thanks.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I actually love my handwriting, which I credit to nine years of Catholic school :)

19.September.2011

Write me! I have really ridiculously large handwriting.

19.September.2011

Write me! I dislike my handwriting–it’s too large and not at all elegant.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! love this stuff. I make my capital letters way too big sometimes.

19.September.2011

Write Me!! I mix cursive with print when I write.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! No matter if I’m writing cursive, print, upper or lower case, all my R’s are just like that: capital R style!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I never write in cursive. Why do they even teach it anymore?

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I don’t love my handwriting, but in college I was incredibly jealous of people with cute handwriting, so I would “practice” writing while watching TV. Now I’m pretty happy with the streamlined look of most of my writing, though my least favorite letter to write is an “M,” which is what my daughter’s name starts with. Guess I need to practice again!

19.September.2011

Write me! My handwriting is a cross between cursive and printing…with my H’s usually looking like L’s, sometimes I can’t even read what I write :)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I lament the fact that life is hectic enough these days that I don’t take the time to write neatly anymore. I do have nice handwriting when I’m not scribbling something down in haste!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! about 90% of the time my handwriting starts in print and then ends up in cursive… my hand has a mind of its own I guess

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! i really need to make some thank you cards. these would be perfect. i love all my letters to be the same size have since i was little and would rewrite class notes so they were all perfect.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I use a combination of cursive and print. My cursive is not “proper cursive” though. Kind of my own made up version. :-) I also cross my Zs.

19.September.2011

Write Me!
I am also left handed…and to avoid the smudging somewhere along the way I started turning my paper sideways…yet still writing correctly on the lines…don’t ask me how I managed that, but because of it I don’t smudge. But now I cannot write on a whiteboard or chalkboard, because if its attached to a wall I can’t turn it sideways.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!! I’ve been told my handwriting could be a font on the computer, as long as I’m using Pilot G-2’s. :)

19.September.2011

Write me!

I just don’t like how my handwriting looks — and how sloppy it gets so quickly! Much prefer to type.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

My handwriting changes day-to-day. I have “good handwriting days” and “bad handwriting days” – I have no clue why.

19.September.2011

Write Me!!
I always print and I like my handwriting. The only time I write in cursive is when I sign my name.

Fun giveaway! Thanks!

19.September.2011

Write me! I’m happy w/ my writing. Most times I don’t write the neatest. But I can. I do wish I could write fancier sometimes.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I always get lots of compliments on my handwriting, because it’s very precise and legible. My dorky secret? When I was in high school I had horrible bulbous ugly penmanship, so I practiced modeling my handwriting after Arial font. It stuck! :)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!! I was told once by a college professor that I had the best handwriting he’d ever seen. He actually used the word “perfect.” This caught me off-guard because I’d always thought it was boring, mundane, and a little messy. After that I started paying attention, and I realize I have this innate and subconscious instinct to make every word symmetrical – and I do it automatically without realizing it. Weird, I know!

19.September.2011

Write me! I love Jack and Ella … I used them for our new address postcards. I love my writing when I use all lower case letters …

19.September.2011

Write me! I hate my writing! I try to type whenever possible and I even trick people into writing my name tags at parties.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

When I was in grade school I had problems with writing my letters backwards and out of order. I was taught to write very slowly and carefully so that I could check each letter as I wrote it. This developed into very careful, neat handwriting. :) I can’t do cursive to save my life though.

19.September.2011

Write Me! I have always had print that resemble a kindergarten teacher or much like the Arial font on the computer. It frustrates me when I’m in a rush and my writing is messy! My cursive is also very much the way we were taught in elementary school. When I combine the two I get a semi-pretty penmanship – I used to get paid to address neighbors’ Christmas cards when they found out I do my parent’s! Now I’m practicing with calligraphy & hoping to perfect it and start addressing invitations of sorts :)

19.September.2011

Write me!
I have awful, third grader-esque, handwriting. I guess I did not spend enough time writing notes in junior high!

19.September.2011

Write me! I have pretty messy handwriting overall… and it seems like the harder I try to make it neat, the worse it looks. Some of my nicest writing happens when I’m tired & rushing… go figure?!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I have awful handwriting and never write in cursive.

19.September.2011

Write Me!

When I know someone else is going to read something I have handwritten I always make sure it is neat and legible. When I am writing something for myself I have a half print have cursive writing that is messy. There are just some letters I refuse to write in cursive which I guess explains why I am never consistent. My name is usually the only thing I will write in complete cursive and I sign my entire name even though it is a bit long. I have never been able to master a “signature” that is quick.

19.September.2011

Write me!! I’m also left handed. I do this weird mix between cursive and print. It’s kind of like my own style. :)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I get compliments on my handwriting, so I guess it’s fairly good. I do have a tendency to make disproportionately large tails on lower-case Gs; someone once described them as “a big production”, which I sort of like.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I love my all caps handwriting but I am not a huge fan of my lower case handwriting!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

My handwriting is an odd combo of uppercase and lowercase letters. Not sure where that came from, but it results in a funky look :)

19.September.2011

write me! i actually like my handwriting. i copied my style from a boy in my 7th grade art class that i had a crush on. i has evolved over the years, but i still prefer to write in a simple block print. i detest that new denelian style that they are teaching the kids in school now.
hopefully, we will be moving soon too, so i’d love to send my friends some of those cute cards!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I don’t have amazing handwriting, but I am definitely the family scribe since my husband’s sweet scrawl is pretty much illegible!

19.September.2011

Write Me!

When writing, my lower-case r’s tend to look like v’s :( haha.

19.September.2011

Write Me!!! (Because I never win anything!)
I actually kind of love my handwriting — it’s evolved a lot over the years. And I can’t tell you how many time people have asked me to write their wedding placecards for them!! That’s a lot of pressure!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I love my handwriting; it’s something I’ve always been proud of. Most people are surprised by how neat it is because I’m left-handed.

I cross my t’s and f’s very low. I’ve heard that’s a sign of poor self-esteem, but I always did it because it meant I didn’t have to move my hand as much.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! i generally write in all caps (although i type in all lower case, curious!). if i write in cursive it looks like a third grader (like the sample letters that went around the room) b/c i was an elementary school teacher.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!
I once was told that my handwriting was like a “graphic font”…i dont know if i should take that as a compliment or a diss.

19.September.2011

Write me! I used to spend hours on end perfecting my handwriting, but now I’m more often then not typing everything so perfectly formed letters have gone by the wayside.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I have found that I tend to write differently depending on the occasions/purpose. Certain things are deserving of a little extra attention and detail. Others, not so much. :)

19.September.2011

Write Me!! I write in a weird mixture of print and cursive. Sometimes, in one word, I will use both a print and cursive s, just depends on the letter placement.

19.September.2011

“WRITE ME!”

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I certainly don’t have the best handwriting, but my co-workers have me address cards, mailings, etc., because they say it’s the most legible!

19.September.2011

Write Me! My handwriting changes depending on the type of pen or pencil – thick marker or finetip. Kinda weird!!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I love these notecards!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! When I was younger I would experiment with my handwritting all the time and constantly change up how I wrote letters. Now I am lazy and not in love with my handwritting at all. My husband’s boot camp instructor told him I had the handwritting of a 10-yr-old boy when he would see letters from me. I just pinned some caligraphy on Pinterest last week and want to start practicing again, if I ever get the time in between keeping house and raising 2 young boys:)

19.September.2011

Write me!!! I do not like my writing, but I really don’t care. I am a pharmacist so I get alot of practice using my initials – that is all I got!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!

I have very distinct “y”s.

19.September.2011

Write me! I am so used to typing all the time that my hand writing has gotten so lazy and my once beautiful handwriting is now a mess.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I absolutely hate that I can’t write a straight sentence if there are no lines to guide me. It is always slanted. I feel like my handwriting looks like a 10-year olds. It’s not cute or distinct at all!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I decided to start writing cursive exclusively in about 8th grade to be different, and it’s stuck. I hardly ever print, and when I do, it feels weird. I typically like my handwriting, but there are times when it’s a little illegible, even to me. I love writing notes, though, and this giveaway would be fantastic for my paper stash!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! WRITE ME! my handwriting is like a chameleon and changes depending on the reason for writing. as a design student i retrained myself to write “architecturally” in all caps and then as grad student in education i had to find the perfect “teacher” writing. now, it’s a blend of both w/ a little script tossed in for fun! of course, my favorite tool is a super sharp pencil or a fine tip marker. yum!

this is my first comment though i’m an AVID follower and look forward to your posts. we, too, are planning an ikea kitchen in a new house so i may be in touch with questions!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting is completely dependent on my mood. It can be neat, sloppy, quick, slow…just depends on what kind of day i’m having. And on Thursday I’ll be having a baby so some notecards or birth announcements would be a stellar mood-booster! :)

19.September.2011

write me! i HATE my handwriting – so messy and inconsistent – and try to type letters and other things as often as possible!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I feel like my handwriting gets worse and worse every year. Probably because I type so much I’m out of practice. But I guess a unique characteristic of mine is that I mix capital and lowercase letters.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME :) i have to say i sorta like my handwriting, but i detest my signature!

19.September.2011

Write me! Lefty here, too! I always end up with smudges on my pinky, but i don’t really mind. I just like being a lefty.

19.September.2011

Write me!! We are moving and I’d love some of those cards!

I am a lefty and I try to use only the Sharpie fine point markers. Otherwise I am all smudges. :)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I am not a fan of my writing, sometimes I can’t even read my own notes (one reason I love my Ipod touch). If I have to address envelopes, or write a special note inside a card I always use a ruler as “my line”. I just have to remember to go back and add the tails to my g’s, f’s, j’s, p’s, q’s, y’s & z’s………………………..

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I’m a lefty, too. (You know that a lot of presidents are lefties.) I’ve always been praised for my handwriting. Love me a fine Sharpie marker…love the Sharpie pens even better.

19.September.2011

“WRITE ME!”

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I kind of like my handwriting…but it tends to be a weird combination of print & cursive if I don’t focus on one or the other

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I have the world’s worst handwriting!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I never really changed my signature after changing to my married name, which starts with the same initial as my maiden name. So my handwriting has become decidedly more sloppy to account for that!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!
My mom was a pre-school teacher for 20 years and I definitely inherited her Teacher’s Handwriting: perfectly round a’s, symmetrical M’s, etc.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! i’m left handed too! my printing is great but cursive is the worst! it takes me forever and it looks horrible!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I just have horrible handwriting, I have been typing too long, but I do want new stationary, it is still better to be thanked by mail than by e-mail.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME- my handwriting has changed so many times and I have never really liked it because it still tend to be part cursive and part printing and mostly sloppy.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!! I’m not crazy about my handwriting either! I use a mix of cursive and print so it’s definitely interesting! When I was in grade school I would take my time to write slower so that my writing would look as neat as all the other girls, but alas, nursing classes don’t allow that much time for note taking :p

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!
I actually kind of like my print handwriting. On the other hand, my cursive teacher would be embarrassed at the paragraph I recently had to write saying that I wouldn’t cheat on the GRE.

19.September.2011

Write Me! My handwriting is continually evolving, but it always seems to consist of a mixture of print and cursive.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My daughter says she loves my handwriting, and wants to write cursive just like I do! Even though I have good cursive handwriting, I prefer to write everything in all upper case print!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I think my handwriting looks better when I’m not thinking about it…if I try too hard to make it look nice it ends up looking worse.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!! I like my handwriting, but it is some amorphous combination of print and cursive. Sometimes I wish I had handwriting like an old English teacher’s!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I don’t mind my regular handwriting so much, but I hate my cursive writing. It’s really horrible.

19.September.2011

You are so inspiring!!! I found your blog about a week ago! Guess what? I’m addicted!!! Creative, innovative, beautiful pictures and great info!!!

19.September.2011

Write me!
My handwriting is OK when I take my time, but a disaster when I am trying to write fast!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! The problem with my writing is that I can almost never read it. If I take my time it’s fine and actually quite pretty – big and loopy. Unfortunately most of the time I writing so fast that I when I go back to read what I wrote, I can’t make heads or tails of it!

19.September.2011

write me, please! i love this shop, so wonderful. my brother, who is left handed, used to use erasable pen. it was the messiest handwriting ever full of smears. does that thing even exist anymore?

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!! I write vertically…the paper is flipped 90 degrees from usual…my husband says it looks like I’m writing Japanese. I say it helps me have better handwriting!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I have horrible handwriting…I hate it. I always envy those girls who do the beautiful calligraphy with all the loops and swirls and wish I could do that too.

19.September.2011

Write me! I usually like my handwriting, but I’m obsessive enough to rewrite entire words, lines, pages, etc if I dislike the way I’ve written one word.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! Growing up my handwriting used to be quite nice. Then the computer came along, and I seemingly forgot how to write by hand! Ooof.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I write just like my mom. When I was younger, I didn’t, and I used to make fun of how she wrote her T’s and D’s. And then magically one day I started writing just like her without even trying. And I sort of love it now :)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I actually enjoy my handwriting, although it has definitely gotten better over the years!

19.September.2011

Write Me!
I use a mix of cursive and print so my handwriting is basically it’s own language. I’m the only one who can read it which makes the patent examiner laugh when he’s looking in my lab notebook at work.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!! My handwriting is a combination of printing and cursive! Not always easy to read.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I only write in print and hate to write in cursive!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

i like that my handwriting always looks the same, whether i’m printing with a pencil or cutting letters out of cardboard with an x-acto blade.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!
My handwriting goes back and forth between cursive and print – cursive when I need to write really fast.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My writing switches between cursive and printing…although I prefer printing. Often my writing looks one way at the beginning and looks totally different by the end.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I have two totally different handwriting “fonts.” One slants to the left and is neat and more round. The other is loose, sloppy and slants severely to the right. I wonder if a handwriting analyst would know they come from the same person.

19.September.2011

Write me! My sister and I have the same handwriting. I love it.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

My handwriting is fine. Not great, but not horrible either. I will say this… My R’s are ALWAYS capitalized. Always. No matter where in a word they appeaR. (<Like this) 75% of the time, my E's are capped too. I don't know why. It's weird.

19.September.2011

write me!
i always try to write pointy s’s (cursive), but they always come out round.

19.September.2011

Write me!!! I just got engaged, so I would love some thank you cards! I tend to press really hard when I write, so if its loose leaf paper, the right edge always curls up. Weird, I know!

19.September.2011

write me! (And now a confession: I love my handwriting. It’s 80% “architect” and 20% “artist” and comes to me naturally. People talk about my handwriting, and I blush, but I am also tremendously proud of it. I don’t believe people can really develop a handwriting style; rather I think you’re kind of born with it. And I’m tickled to have been born with what became mine.)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!
When about to take the SAT’s in high school, the people who wrote them decided to put in a handwriting comparison paragraph that had to be written all in cursive. Well I, along with my fellow students, all had forgotten how to write that way and made the proctor write the entire alphabet on the board so we could copy. Kind of pathetic.

19.September.2011

Write me!!! I’m left handed too — and my sweet husband says I write like a 3rd grader (worse, actually)! I’m a great typer — but have recently started to homeschool my kiddos — which has forced me to work on proper printing. So funny and so fun! Would love to win these — thanks!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

well, most of the time i have “Dr.’s prescription-pad handwriting” = unreadable scribble.
i DO try to write neatly & some days my hand has a mind of its own and the letters flow beautifully… but not most of the time…

i wonder what an analysis of that kind of handwriting would “mean”?

BUT I LOVE THE CARDS FOR THE GIVEAWAY!!!

19.September.2011

write me!
i love to write in all lower case. i have even tried out all caps before. but i’ve never been much a fan of cursive, maybe it’s because i could never come up with a signature i loved. and these days it just keeps getting messier and messier, maybe i should work on that. thanks!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I’m right handed and when learning to write cursive my left handed mother taught me so most all of my writing in straight up which annoyed my teachers in 2nd/3rd grade. They all tried to get me to “slant” my writing.

19.September.2011

Write Me! I’m pretty lucky in the cursive department. I can do it pretty well, but my printing isn’t pretty!! LOL

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

Lefty Lou here has horrendous handwriting! Well, for a perfectionist like myself, it is horrendous. I despise writing “s” and “8”. In order for my handwriting to be neat in print I have to write slow, and the opposite for cursive. You would think the blue/black smudge on the outside of my pinky finger was a tatoo. Ugh…

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I have awful handwriting. All caps and messy!

19.September.2011

Write Me!! I also don’t like my handwriting. My sister has gorgeous handwriting but mine looks like chicken scratch, no matter how careful I am.

19.September.2011

Write me! I actually really enjoy writing by hand, especially now that I type almost everything. It’s relaxing.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!! I like my handwriting…both print and cursive. I’m constantly re-writing the ‘white board’ at work so that it is legible!

19.September.2011

Write Me!!! I like my handwriting–it tends to be a combo of print and cursive. But sometimes I think it looks a little too big and loopy and I’m-in-7th-grade-writing-a-note-to-my-best-friend-ish.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!! I actually get told I have nice handwriting (print and cursive) on a regular basis… I attribute this to my stepmom. She always hated her handwriting, so whenever family was over playing cards (meaning I was up later than I should be), I got the pleasure of writing the alphabet… over and over and over and over again. I am so thankful for it now!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! my handwriting runs the gammet from messy scribbles to fun and legiable if I take my time … my favorite thing to do in meetings is to perfect my signature … prob not the best use of time, but oh well!!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME. . .
I also hate my handwriting, and it gets worse the more I write. If I am writing thank you’s I have to do them in batches so the last ones are still legible.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!! I have a mix between both of my mom and dad’s handwriting. When I’m in a hurry, it looks like my dads, when I am trying to write neat, it looks like my moms. Kinda funny…

19.September.2011

Write me!

I TOTALLY need these since we’ve been here in Ohio for a month now and I’ve forgotten send out change of address cards! Hope it’s me! And I like my handwriting – it’s legible and pretty straight – then again, I was an elementary teacher!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I have pretty decent handwriting. Good enough to be asked to address party/wedding invitations for friends and family, but not good enough to make any $ doing it!

19.September.2011

Write Me! I always want that extra large loopy handwriting but never got there.

19.September.2011

Write me! My handwriting is a mix of script and print. I also mix in some caps. NOT consistent. THe faster I have to write, the messier it gets.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

My handwriting is an oddball mix of print and cursive that’s legible to about 75% of people. Also, my lowercase g’s and y’s aren’t curvy at the ends of the letters like they are in normal fonts or other people’s handwriting. My curves are more like lines or backward curves….if that even makes sense. I have yet to find a font available anywhere that resembles it! I have no idea where I picked it up, but I do remember being in middle school when I started doing it!

19.September.2011

Write me! I am a design student struggling to learn architectural lettering. I have written in large, loopy almost cursive writing for twenty years and all these straight lines are driving me crazy!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! At the sake of sounding conceded, I think my handwriting is pretty good since I receive many compliments on it!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I have never liked my handwriting. I do a mix of print and cursive when I write… I am not sure how it evolved into a mix but I guess it works!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!

I like my hand writing, I was obsessed as a kid. Practiced over and over and over until it was perfect!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME :) I love to write notes to my girls and friends with doodles all around. Kind of sad to hear they are phasing out teaching cursive…

19.September.2011

WRITE ME.
Fact about my handwriting is that I have the phrase, “Que sera sera” tattooed on my chest in my own handwriting. Luckily I dig my own handwritten font. Thank you so much for hosting this fun giveaway.

Write me, Dana!
At times, I can see my mother’s handwriting in mine- the way she makes her McKs in all one flourish, the way she writes the Js for my name. At other times, I see things I picked up here and there- I tend to cross my Vs (picked up in engineering school to keep from confusing them with other variables) and my lowercase Gs have a very distinctive tail. I love my handwriting… a little of my mom here and there, but overwhelmingly, undeniably me.

19.September.2011

“WRITE ME!”

I am a righty but always wanted to be a leftie. I can name all my friends that were lefties. I just thought they were a bit special than all my other friends. I feel lucky that two of my three kids are lefties! Makes me smile.

For 6 months in high school I worked at a radio station. My job was to process all the forms for silly radio station cards that offered discounts. They started the program two years before that but never had someone in charge of the process. All that to say I spent 6 months entering data into a computer program and then hand writing every envelope. During this I got to see myriads of different handwriting styles. I decided it would be a perfect time to take my favorite hand writings and make them into my own. I can write an “a” to look like it is typed here with the cute little swirl on top. I can make a cute g with the little swirl that you see in other fonts, my 2’s are perfect to me…all sorts of silly things like that. It was a tedious job but I feel I found found some fun in it.

19.September.2011

Write Me! I’m in the process of downsizing/moving as well, so I love reading about your progress.
My handwriting seems to be getting worse as I get older. I don’t have as much time/patience to draw a neat script so now I tend to print a lot more. I’ve always hated the way I write a cursive capital “B” and my name is Bridget! Oh dear. I love looking at beautiful swirly calligraphy.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I actually often get told my handwriting is really pretty. It didn’t start that way though…as a teen it was horrid – until my mom bought me a calligraphy book and I adapted it to my own handwriting to produce my own unique version of cursive.

19.September.2011

Write me! I make my ‘j’s completely straight, no little curve. It’s very weird.

19.September.2011

Write Me! I like my small writing, it makes a letter look very uniform at arms length. I have loopy tails on my lowercase g, j, y that I love :)

19.September.2011

Write me!! I have handwriting that similar to a 6 year old. Its such a bummer! When I was in 8th grade I used to have my best friend write all my love notes for me because she had such beautiful handwriting!

19.September.2011

“Write me please!”

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

My last name ends in an I and the only time I ever don’t dot my I’s with a regular ol’ dot is with my last name. The Last-Name-I gets dotted with an “X.”

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handrwriting is a cursive/printing blend. It looks different all the time too.

19.September.2011

Write me! My handwriting usually looks the same and similar to my dad’s.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I love my handwriting (despite being a lefty) (: but I’ve never figured out how to make a pretty J. And my first born’s name starts w/ J!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I write straight up and down – no slant for me. I think its because I’m right handed and my mom & sister are both lefties so when Mom taught me to write my letters we had to just meet in the middle somewhere. :)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My cursive is not so great but my handwriting is in all CAPS : )

19.September.2011

write me! My handwriting is a combo of cursive (faster) and printing.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! Started writing in all-caps 15 years ago in high school to mimic my engineering Dad and haven’t stopped since!

19.September.2011

write me! I love having personalized stationary! My handwriting it okay, nothing special but since most people don’t write letters anymore I figure that makes up for my handwriting:)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting quirk is that it is so different at any given time. I guess I’m not known for consistency.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

What a great company and a great giveaway!!

My handwriting, if I take my time, can be nice. It’s was definitely different than a lot of the girls in my grade school growing up – I detested the super swirly, huge lettering with hearts over the i’s. I was always a fan of clean and simple :D

But while I do generally like my handwriting, I think it looks horrible on white boards and chalk boards! (as in, when presenting something). It just looked…weird!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

My handwriting is sloppy but predictable. I use a mixture of print and cursive, as well as upper and lower case. I think it suits me. :)

19.September.2011

“WRITE ME”! cause i’d love some of those monogramed post cards! and i, too, never write in cursive. i’m a 3/4 print 1/4 handwriting kind of gal. and i never use capital letters…..and i like my ‘handwriting’ in fine blue roller point pen the best. when i was in drafting classes in college i loved the ‘blueprint’ print. i think it’s sad that it has become a lost art.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

When I worked at an ad agency one of our clients used my handwriting for their handwritten note to go out with a mass mailing. I was so nervous that I could not keep a straight line (not normal for me). Our art director kept demanding that there were handwriting fonts to use just for this reason! I completely agreed but the client demanded! Ack!

19.September.2011

write me! i like my mix of manuscript and cursive…i think it is very unique!

19.September.2011

Write me!

I go back and forth from flowy pretty handwriting to illegible chicken scratch. :-D

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!

I have 3rd grade handwriting, I hate it. I wish my writing style had personality!

19.September.2011

Write me!

My handwriting is mostly typing these days, as my job is mainly on the internet. When I do handwrite, it’s pretty sloppy.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! When I was in high school, I thought my handwriting was too childish so I made changes to make it look more like my mom’s — I started writing a with the curl on the top instead of like it is in cursive, I started crossing my 7s and my 0s, etc. I still write that way today!

19.September.2011

Write me! My handwriting is a weird mix of cursive and printing…

19.September.2011

Write me! I’ve always wanted nice handwriting, but I too am left-handed and not sure if it’s related to that or I just wasn’t destined to have it. My MIL has great handwriting thought and I love getting notes from her!

19.September.2011

WrItE Me! I never write the same way twice…werid I know…I have about 6 different styles.

19.September.2011

Write me!! My handwriting is awful – sort of a cursive/print hybrid that is not very pretty :(

19.September.2011

Write me! My handwriting is OK, but when I write quickly it tends to degenerate into an illegible mess.

19.September.2011

Write me! I like my handwriting most days…sometimes I get a little sloppy and carefree at the end of the day :)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

My handwriting is usually very neat, but it changes every time I pick up a pen! When I sit down to write (even something as simple as my name), I never know how it will look when I’m done. And I can’t control it or “force” it to look a certain way–it will just turn out illegible. Sometimes it’s all caps, sometimes it’s cursive, and sometimes it looks like a teenage girl wrote it, all bubbly and decorative. Very strange.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!
I’d love some change of address cards since we’re moving this friday!! I’ve never liked my handwriting so about every other week I change my style and try something new.

19.September.2011

Write Me! I’m a lefty as well so I completely understand your smudgy writing. I usually end the day looking like a 5 year old with ink the side of my hand. I’m a 2nd grade teacher so I have needed to work on my hand writing over the years. My daily (not teacher) writing is usually a mix of print and cursive together.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I’m left handed, too! My dad was raised in Europe, where apparently they write their sevens with a little line through the stem. When I was a kid, I thought this was awesome, so I practiced and practiced until I automatically wrote my sevens that way, too. That’s not really something unique about my handwriting as a whole, I guess, but close enough.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I’m very picky about the pens I write with, I think they can fool you into thinking my handwriting is cute! =)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting in print connects most of the letters, so it ends up looking almost like cursive anyway.

19.September.2011

Write Me.

My handwriting is only semi-legible but I still prefer to write in cursive.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! Whenever I write two “n”s together it always looks like an “m.” My name should have been Jema.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I use cursive often but my handwriting is so messy that it’s never pretty.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!!! I was super excited to see receipe cards in all those beautiful designs. I wish I would have know about their paper goods last month. My sister just got married.

19.September.2011

Write me!

I never learned how to write cursive – missed it by one year when I switched elementary schools. Thankfully that has never really mattered!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! Over the years I’ve somehow lost the ability to write cursive other than signing my own name.

19.September.2011

write me!! i love sending and receiving hand-written mail! :)

19.September.2011

Write me! I ALWAYS write in cursive.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I am a first grade teacher…so I have teacher printing! :)

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!!! I have grown to love my left handed chicken scratch which is mostly illegible but now a signature in most of my art. I even have it tattooed on me!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!!!! PRETTY PLEASE, THOSE CARDS ARE PIECES OF ART. I WILL HAVE A HARD TIME ACTUALLY WRITING ON ONE.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!! I love writing with thicker gel pens – for some reason i fell like they make my handwriting look way better! Love the sharpies too – I recently discovered a “medium” point sharpie that’s good for writing on birthday cards, etc. They don’t smear like pens!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting is a jumble of cursive and print, because I was very sick as a kid and missed tons of school when we worked on handwriting.

19.September.2011

Write Me! I like my handwriting. I have been told that I have very neat handwriting and that I could teach handwriting to children. I am glad that my handwriting will be helpful with my career too. I do wish that I could write in cursive a bit better though. Mine is way too neat.

19.September.2011

wriTe Me…my handwriting quirk is that I tend to use print and cursive together and “…” all the time…more than I should really…

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I have a little flair on the bottom of my lower case “f” which I started in high school to be “unique” but can’t kick the habit!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!
I’m a doctor with horrible handwriting, so I could use cute stationery to distract from the poor penmanship.

19.September.2011

Write Me! Love these cards, they are so cute.

19.September.2011

Write me! I’m a new teacher and my handwriting is SO slanted on the white board. I find the kiddos tilting their heads to read what I’ve written! :-/

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! Peopel always comment on my beautiful handwriting. Odd thing though, the style is always changing depending on my mood. It can be slanted or upright, round and bubbly or tall and lean, sometime microscope,…you get the idea.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!!! I am often complimented on my handwriting even though it is somewhat messy. I have been told I write “messily, neatly.” Whatever that means. One negative to my handwriting is that my r’s look like v’s sometimes. I remember by mom making me practice writing my r’s when I was little…it didn’t work, I still do the same thing.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting is exactly like my mom’s. Sometimes, we can’t tell it apart. Good and bad thing.

19.September.2011

Write me!!! My handwriting in school according to my classmates always looked “like it came straight from a typewriter”…so I guess mine is pretty neat, lol :) Also, I am building a new house and am closing in 6 weeks and winning jack and ella moving cards would be the best news i’ve received in a long time right about now!!!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

i write in all capital letters, which is kinda strange because i prefer my texts and typing in all lower case letters. i pretty much invented my own cursive because i didn’t like the way a lot of the letters were supposed to look. also i love this stationary!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I write like a 3rd grader!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! I write like a boy!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I sometimes switch up the style of my capital “M”s

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting is a sloppy version of my moms..and now my 14 yo has handwriting like both of us! ;) All 3 of our signatures are so similar. We should’ve mixed it up a bit but it’s too late now. :/

19.September.2011

Write me! I hate my handwriting and I teach Kindergarten so I have to do it on huge paper all the time. I just want it to look carefree and easy; not planned and precise.

19.September.2011

WRITE ME! These are too cute!!

19.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I love my handwriting; it should be a font lol :) I miss the art of writing letters and cards and try to do so whenever I have a moment. I would love some of these cards to replenish my waning supply of “Thank You” or “Thinking of You” notes. Fun giveaway! :)

19.September.2011

“WRITE ME!” I always start writing in a nice print and it slowly warps into sloppy illegible cursive, which is also slanted? Oh, and I prefer to write w/ several sheets of paper underneath to ‘smooth’ things out.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! Everyone always asks me to write things for them when it’s important. My handwriting is probably so nice because I’m OCD about everything else in my life. Sometimes though I make a few letters uppercase for no reason, especially “R”.

20.September.2011

Write me please! My handwriting is a ‘font’ of its own, precise, but it really depends on what I’m writing with and how fast… Thanks for the giveaway!

20.September.2011

Write Me! I write in a combination of print and cursive. I am not sure that I could do all of one or all of the other anymore. And I nearly always write the same letters in capital print. But my husband really likes my handwriting so I am ok w/ it. :)

20.September.2011

Write Me!

I tend to string all the characters of a word together like cursive

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!!! :) My handwriting changes all the time!

20.September.2011

Write Me! My handwriting is always changing…

20.September.2011

Write me! This give away is awesome and I really like Jack and Ella! My cursive is like that of a 90 year old lady – spidery and wobbly.

20.September.2011

Write me! I also hate my handwriting!

20.September.2011

Write me! My handwriting is a little haphazard – print is neat, cursive is sloppy. I think it’s gotten worse since I type more than I write. Something I definitely need to remedy.

20.September.2011

Write me! My handwriting is almost identical to my Dad’s and couldn’t be more different from my Mom’s.

20.September.2011

Write Me! I don’t think I know what an uppercase cursive “G” is even supposed to look like anymore! Oops…. :)

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I just love what words can do…I add quotes for my kids to read everyday on their chalkboard – no time to worry about my handwriting!

20.September.2011

WRITE ME……My cursive handwriting is quite bad so I tend to only write in manuscript.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!
LOVE my handwriting! It’s just super neat and crisp!

20.September.2011

Write me!
I hate my handwriting but everyone is always saying it’s so pretty lol

20.September.2011

Write me!
Of course, I have horrible handwriting… but it’s legible, right?

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I do the printish writing, and I am not consistent. Two words can be adjacent to each other and one have a print “L” and the other a cursive “L.”

20.September.2011

Write me! I have a very sloping writing style, a combo of print and cursive. I don’t think it’s anything special but I did hand write my own wedding invites and was told my writing style was very “modern.”

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I hate my handwriting too! Even when I try, I feel like it looks sloppy!

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I usually write in architectural lettering, all caps. :)

20.September.2011

WRITE ME…I think my handwritting is decent. In my HS Crime Scene class we studied the handwritings of seriall killers…it was honestly pretty creepy and i’m glad my handwriting was NOT like any of theirs! :)

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I like my handwriting, but no one can ever seem to read it!

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting has never been great. It’s strange because it’s a mix of cursive & print.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!!!!

I detest my writing. I got in an accident, and cut some of the tendons on my wrist, and it hurts to write, and makes my writing barely legible. I didn’t care when I was younger, but now that I’m older, and my husband has nicer writing than me, I wish mine was nicer. I also re-write everything more than once!

20.September.2011

Write me!

I have horribly messy writing, but my secret is using Hi-tech pens…which disguise my handwriting and make it look nice and neat…believe it or not!

20.September.2011

Write Me!

I’m right-handed, and a designer… but my handwriting is Terrible. I try hard to make it nice and readable, but it’s no help…. it’s bad.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!
When I was in 4th grade I won the best handwriting award. Now that I am adult I have no idea as to why or how I ever recieved it. The other 4th graders must have been really, really, terrible cause my writing is so sloppy! Thanx anyway Mrs Collins, LOL..

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!
Pure blend of cursive/print, and gets more messy as I get older – maybe because we write less and type more. I remember how I used to write and write, just to perfect my handwriting so it would look “cool”. Oh the wasted hours!

20.September.2011

Write Me. I would love to win this, I am planning on a ton of homemade wedding and christmas gift giving, and these would be the perfect compliment, and no one would get that puzzled look on their face, trying to decipher who the gift is from or to.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! my handwriting is a mix of cursive & print. The pen is what could make or break a great piece of handwriting.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting deteriorates the longer I write. But if you give me a new pen, it perks up instantly!

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I love handwriting and have many forms of writing: sloppy, very neat, loopy, small, cursive, print. I was one to practice all types of writing on my pee chee while I was supposed to be listening in class! :)

20.September.2011

Write Me!

My handwriting is all over the place- some cursive, some print. I would love to have more consistent handwriting! :)

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I used to have good handwriting. Now that I am at my computer and typing most of the time, it’s really gone downhill!

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!!!!

I have decent handwriting, but have several styles that I switch automatically while writing! All caps, print, and most commonly cursive. I found out that {without thinking} resort to caps when filling out applications, forms, etc. Print seems to come naturally while making grocery lists, to-do lists, etc. Cursive seems to pop up when I am writing letters, filling out cards, taking notes…lol!! I’ve never thought to analyze my handwriting skills…but this made me laugh! I think I write clearer with a sharpie! I LOVE sharpies….is it the smell?? J/k…I’ll stop giving my dark secrets out!

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I absolutely love stationary. I can remember when I was a little girl (I’m 30 now) I loved to collect stationary and envelopes and stickers. I still have a lot of it! My taste has changed a little now from Sanrio to more eco-friendly items, so I am excited to check out Jack and Ella. I can’t really brag about my handwriting, actually it looks like chicken scratch, but I LOVE to write. Thanks for sharing this offer with the rest of us.

20.September.2011

Write Me! As a lefty, I totally understand the smudge problem…so annoying!!! How much of a dork am I….I actually practice writing with my right hand…Not exactly sure why, but I find it relaxing…and if the time ever comes that I break my good hand, I am all set :)

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!!!

I love writing by hand…and have since I was about 4. I remember going into Kindergarten for the first day and I was asked to write my name, and (in a pathetic 5-year-old kind of way) I wrote my name out in bubbly cursive. Yes, cursive at 5. There is something that has always fascinated me about handwriting. My mom’s is typical ‘Mom’ handwriting: neat, clean, some cursive, with her own touch. She has a special way of writing the “G” that starts our last name and I’ve always loved it. My dad actually has quite neat handwriting for a man, I’ve always imagined it being something to do with how and when he grew up. It’s very Mad Men-esque.

Mine is a mix of print and cursive…it changes with my mood and my need to be neat. But it certainly reflects my ecclectic personality! =)

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!!

I think I have interesting handwriting..good…but I worked pretty hard on it when I was younger because I’m a freak!

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I’m not a huge fan of my handwriting and never really have been. It looks sooo messy when I’m trying to jot down something quickly. I love sending cards though and just got married this summer so I’d love some stationery with my married name!

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!
When I sign my first name, I always misspell it. I just can’t seem to fit both N’s together in the middle. I just become Shanon.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I combine printing and cursive into a sort of flowing print. Also, I like to change pens a lot, as long as they aren’t fine point. And I like to have something under the paper I’m writing on, like extra paper. I hate just writing on a single sheet of paper on a desk.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I’ve always had very neat handwriting (probably because I’m a neat freak)and back in the dark ages (before computers) kids would pay me to write their reports in school so that they would get extra credit for neatness!

20.September.2011

Write Me! I print almost everything as well and my signature is a mixture of cursive and printing.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I actually can’t stand my handwriting either. I have been constantly evolving it since I was little and realized I couldn’t stand it. I also hate when I have to sign my name on things becuase I feel like it takes too long, so I inevitably shorten it and scribble something that resembles my name.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!
I happen to love my handwriting when i can actually write out a card, the old fashioned way:) Emails, texts just don’t cut it. The old fashioned penmanship is where it’s at! ;)

20.September.2011

Write me!
My handwriting isn’t nearly as good as it was before I started typing everything!

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I am always in a hurry and my cursive writting sometimes has a mind of it’s own, sometimes including extra letterish/random markings.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!!! I love these cards! I can’t resist lovely looking note cards.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! and I’ll be sure to WRITE YOU too!

20.September.2011

Write Me! I am a right hander. Horrific printer, but my cursive looks great!

20.September.2011

Write Me!!
I have about 10 different styles of handwriting and I never know which one is going to come out on any given day. I recently got married and after writing all the thank you notes, if people were to compare them, they would wonder how many different people actually wrote them… I promise, I wrote them all (but about 1/4 that my hubby did!).

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!
I’ve always thought of my handwriting as more unique. When I was younger I hated it because it wasn’t that cute bubbly handwriting the other girls had. Now I like it because it is different. Sometimes there is some cursive thrown in especially if I have to take something down quickly. I hold my pencil/pen funny and I think this is mostly because I had a cast and was not able to do handwriting when the other children were being taught- it’s one of the reasons that my handwriting is different.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I am left-handed also and worked very hard when younger to adopt a right-handed slant to my cursive writing. I suffered the curse of the smudges even so.

20.September.2011

write me! I get slopier the longer I sign payroll documents–and eventually forget how to sign my own name

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I use half-cursive and half-printing in all my writing.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! People say that I have a very pretty handwritting, but I can’t judge my own… one cool characeristic is that I can write in cyrillic and latin… i can write any word in latin and cyrillic. I don’t get to use it much unfortunately.. :(

20.September.2011

Write me!!! My handwriting is legible but not pretty. And it’s not even consistent!

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I actually love the act of writing cursive, printing in block print or doing calligraphy. Something so satisfying about the process. I have always enjoyed the forms of the letters and work hard to write precisely and perfectly. Tho perfection is rarely there–

20.September.2011

Write Me! I laugh at my husband who enjoys the loop-do-loop look of cursive.

20.September.2011

WrItE Me!!!! I am getting MARRIED in March 2012 and I need to send out invites!!! aaaahhhhhh, I proclaimed!!!! I need those invites to be super cute and Jack & Ella would be PeRfeCT!! My handwriting is cute and small and cursive and strings along so delicately. Very easy to read when making lists (because even lists can become a mess of stuff just scrabbled down). I love to write and I love finding fun fonts online. I was an interior design major so I am a huge fan of architectural draft letters. PS. Thank you for bringing up the Sheffield Design school, I asked for a free package of information and I definitely thinking about it :)

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! My handwriting isn’t very unique but it is a cross between print and cursive

20.September.2011

Write Me! I hate my handwriting. I am a teacher and often rewrite the posters I make with the kids because the first one just never comes out quite right.

20.September.2011

Write me!

I would love some personalized stationary.

20.September.2011

Write Me!! I would love some of the cute cards from Jack and Ella! My handwriting is ok, but I have never loved it. I try and practice my handwriting and it never seems to get better. I will keep working on it.

20.September.2011

Write me! Ima Lefty too so my handwriting definitely has, let’s say, character.

20.September.2011

Write me!

I hate my print writing but my cursive writing is pretty nice. My printing is usually mashed and illegible.

20.September.2011

WRITE ME!

I cross my 7’s and usually my Z’s too, just because I think it looks cooler. :)

20.September.2011

WRITE ME! I don’t like cursive and my a’s often get confused with 2’s :)

I’d love to win and get some of those cool recipe cards. I tend to lose a lot of recipes because I write them down and then lose the paper. Gotta work on getting more organized! You’re definitely an inspiration when it comes to design and organization. Keep it up!! :)

20.September.2011

Write me!! I’m left handed, too! Can’t say I like my handwriting either, but a lot of people tell me “you have great handwriting, for a lefty” not sure how to take that… hmmm

20.September.2011

“Write Me!” My handwriting is a mix of cursive and manuscript. I grip the end of my pen really tight when I write so I tend to use ones with rubberized grips on them or I end up with a little indentation on my finger.

21.September.2011

Write Me!
I am kind of liking my handwriting these days, though I am wierded out by how often it can look totally different depending on how fast I am going or what I am taking notes on. I once heard that serial killers have totally different handwriting all the time (though this might be from the “science” of CSI or something, so the truth is suspect) but it made me worry that I might have something in common with serial killers. Okay, I need to shut up now…

21.September.2011

~~~WRITE ME!!! Cursive is becoming a lost artform…If everyone started writing and mailing letters we could save the U.S. Postal Service! Would hate to lose Saturday delivery…
21.September.2011
Write Me!
My handwriting can be very neat or very messy depending on my mood.
21.September.2011
Write Me! I thought maybe I was the only one who cared enough about my handwriting to re-write stuff. I am always conscious of how my writing looks, and usually am happy with it, or have come to terms with it. Like you said, I’m close to 30 and it hasn’t changed much. I like to go for the slightly messy, architecht look.
21.September.2011
WRITE ME!!! I actually have decent handwriting, however I hold my pens/pencils a little weird in comparison to most others. I hold it with my thumb and middle finger, almost up to my knuckle.. kind of hard to explain, but as a child every teacher I ever had commented on it! They used to ask me to write so they could watch my crazy grip in action! I still get comments on my weird writing technique every now and then!
21.September.2011
WRITE ME!
oh my handwriting…unpredictable, never completely consistent, but that makes it kind of exciting. ;)
21.September.2011
WRITE ME!
My handwriting looks like a doctor’s… but I’m not a doctor :)
21.September.2011
“WRITE ME!”
Monogram note cards would be great.
21.September.2011
“WRITE ME!”
Very cute items.
21.September.2011
• WRITE ME!
• My birthdays tomorrow so I’m keeping my fingers crossed!!!!
• My handwritting is also pretty bad and I wish I could make it better.
21.September.2011
WRITE ME! Perfect timing too, just bought a house and move in 2 weeks. :) My handwriting is awful. I never learned to write in cursive properly. When I was 7 we moved out of state. While I was just beginning to learn it up North, the school in the South had taught it in the previous grade, so I was never required to do it. As a result my handwriting is a sloppy mess of kinda cursive/kinda print.
21.September.2011
WRITE ME!!! My handwriting goes on a sliding scale from neat to completely illegible, but I work in medicine, so most of the time I think it’s expected :)
21.September.2011
Write ME! My handwriting goes from looking somewhat nice then turns into scribbles after writing for awhile…like when writing thank you notes!
21.September.2011
WRITE ME! My handwriting is a love affair between print & cursive. XO
21.September.2011
WRITE ME!!!!!
First of all, I looove this paper press and have been drooling since your post. As for my handwriting, I lucked out. My mom has great handwriting so at about the age of 7 I began perfecting it Lisa Frank pen in hand. :) But, 22 years later, I find fine tip sharpies are also my bff. I don’t at a loopy thing to any letters, that ususally have one, like “q,y, g, etc” Its just a straight line down and pretty sure I don’t capitalize anything.
21.September.2011
Write Me! I’m a banker, my writing looks exactly like all of my coworkers, but it’s neat at least! I’m a lefty so I smear a bit.
Paula in MN, you made me lol.
21.September.2011
WRITE ME!
Sometimes I love my handwriting, sometimes I think it’s a sloppy mess. It all depends on the pen I use. I’m also a lefty, so growing up my pencil-work was smudged until I learned to angle my paper. Now, it’s not much of a problem, which is fantastic, because who wants ink or pencil smudges down the entire pinkie side of their hand?!
21.September.2011
Write me! My handwriting is a combination of print, cursive, lower case and upper case and it’s never consistent – including my signature. You would think at least your signature is standard. I don’t get write that way – it it just happens without thinking. Thanks for the giveaway offer.
21.September.2011
Write me!
I have terrible handwriting, just terrible! Barely legible, really, but I try and make up for it by typing everything I can out – and when I can’t if I try really hard I can make it just legible enough for most people. It’s an embarrassment of mine, honestly. I always wished I had beautiful handwriting.
21.September.2011
WRITE ME!
I also hate my handwriting. It’s never been nice. I usually do print but signatures are in cursive.
21.September.2011
WRITE ME! I love these Jack & Ella products — beautiful! Something about my handwriting — I am generally embarrassed of it and my husband claims to not be able to read it. That usually happens when I try to send him to the store with a list :)
21.September.2011
WRITE ME!
I hate writing capital letter G, thought I get away from it but both my maiden name & married name start with a G, so no escaping it!
21.September.2011
Write me! All those cards are so gorgeous!
21.September.2011
WRITE ME!
I think I have lovely cursive, and my students tell me so as well. Back in elementary school, I used to get the award for best penmanship like every year. I slowly made the switch to print. Depending on the type of writing utensil, my print and/or print-cursive mix changes with every different pen or pencil. But now that I am a Montessori elementary teacher (public school!) I am back to using my perfect cursive and encouraging my 35 little students to practice and perfect their own. Many of my coworkers comment on my cursive, as many of them struggle with chicken scratch. (Boy, I do sound a bit into myself, but really, I have good cursive skills!)
21.September.2011
WRITE ME!!! Sometimes I like my handwriting other times I don’t. It’s very random!
21.September.2011
WRITE ME!!!
I’m left handed but when I was in high school instead of drawing during class I would practice drawing fonts. I’ve gotten pretty good over time.
22.September.2011
WRITE ME!
Print is my preferred style and I also love writing with a fine tip Sharpie marker!!
22.September.2011
WRITE ME! I had to learn to write with a fountain pen before I was allowed to use a ballpoint pen. No I wasn’t born in the 1800’s — it was just how our teacher taught writing. She said it would give us all nice handwriting, and I think it did because people always comment on my handwriting.
22.September.2011
WRITE ME! My Handwriting is in all caps when I write short sentences or fill in forms since I am an engineer. However, since its not very efficient I write in a big scribble when I write long paragraphs!
