*THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.*
Congrats to Cheryl who didn’t have any home remedies to speak of but after all the advice given by others, she should have plenty now!
A few weeks ago, I received a care package from a House*Tweaking reader containing products from a company I’d never heard of before – Sierra Sage. The products were part of the mama & baby care line. After trying them out, I liked them so much I suggested that Sierra Sage offer up a giveaway for H*T readers. Lucky for you, they happily agreed!
Sierra Sage is a small family business in Idaho that focuses on creating high quality handmade salves in an ecologically responsible way. They rely on organic herbs, 100% pure essential oils and local businesses to create products that are made at home, batch by batch.
Sierra Sage offers numerous products including healing salves, balms, bug spray, creams and even sitz bath. Their products do not contain petroleum, paraffin, parabens, mineral oil, lanolin, or any synthetic or artificial ingredients.
I’ve been using the Belly Balm on myself and the Baby Balm on Mabrey and love them both. They’re so pure they literally melt at the touch of my fingertips.
Wanna get in on the organic herbal action? Great! Here are all the details on how to enter the giveaway.
- PRIZE: a $50 credit towards the purchase of any Sierra Sage product
- RULES: You must be at least 18 years old and have a U.S. shipping address {no P.O. boxes please} to enter. One entry per email address.
- HOW TO ENTER: Leave a comment on this post proclaiming “GOTTA SALVE IT!”
- DEADLINE: Enter before Friday, April 13th at noon EST. One winner will be chosen via random.org and announced later that same day.
- WHILE YOU’RE AT IT: What are some of your favorite or strangest home remedies for ailments? Baking soda on bee stings? Toothpaste on pimples? I’ll go first. Being 10 days postpartum, it should come as no surprise that my home remedy has to do with breastfeeding. I tend to have excessive breast engorgement {TMI, I know!} during the weeks following delivery. And I mean excessive. OUCH! I’ve always found cabbage leaves helpful in relieving breast pain. I chill a head of green cabbage in the fridge, wash the leaves two at a time, crush the veins with a rolling pin then place one leaf on each breast inside my bra. It smells awful but feels great. This time around, I was proactive and had Handy Hubby go out and buy a head of cabbage before my milk came in. Oddly enough, I ended up not needing it!
