I am so excited to host this giveaway and introduce you to Seed Furniture! The L.A.-based furniture company not only creates beautiful pieces but also focuses on sustainability, craftsmanship and innovation.

seed furniture

*design – the company successfully mixes a midcentury modern aesthetic with rustic and contemporary styles. The resulting designs are timeless, putting the word “forever” in forever furniture.

*sustainability – the company utilizes FSC certified wood and soy-based, formaldehyde-free glue. Much of the hardwood comes from a stockpile in New Jersey formed from the cleanup efforts following Hurricane Sandy.

*craftsmanship – each piece is custom made-to-order by local artisans and workers. That’s right. All items are made right here in the USA.

*innovation – all finishes are non-toxic and contain no VOC’s. Wood is finished with a combination of bees wax + walnut oil. Lacquer finishes are composed of Mythic Paint and Smart-Coat.

And you know how much I despise unsightly electrical cords, right? Well, Seed Furniture implements these crazy cool power portals which contain electronic outlets and USB hubs strategically built into their media pieces. No ugly dangling cords!

15.April.2014

The Sonoran makes me weak in the knees – sooo gorgeous. It would go in our dining room, of course!

15.April.2014

Love the media cabinets. I love a cord free house!

15.April.2014

I love the Barnyard bureau. I live in a house built in 1850, which I am slowly, lovingly, updating. The Barnyard bureau would look fabulous and fit the style of the house as well! And would coordinate with the 1890 barn on the property that my 21 year old son has taken over for his own diy projects.

15.April.2014

Would love to have a new table. The back alley is beautiful. However it would be hard to pass up the city lights bedside table…,,,

15.April.2014

The Downtown Loft is the most gorgeous bureau I have ever seen! I would put this in my son’s room, I sold his matchy matchy nursery furniture to invest in quality pieces over time and have been holding out for the perfect dresser. His clothes are stored in baskets right now, would be amazing to win :)

15.April.2014

I love the Barnyard Dresser. I would put it in my master. Looks like beautiful craftsmanship!

15.April.2014

I would love one of the boxcars to use as a media cabinet/tv stand in the living room. Our $50 target clearance one is not going to survive our upcoming move and I’m determined to replace it with something that can outshine the man’s TV :)

15.April.2014

I love the Downtown Loft! I would put this in my son’s room since we’ve neglected to do any updates in there in a very long time. My husband made his dresser but it’s HUGE and tall. It would be nice to update his room and start giving it some attention in there.

15.April.2014

I can’t pass up the The Back Alley for our eat-in area!

15.April.2014

15.April.2014

There is serious competition between The Open Air shelving system and the Queen Mary.. the Open Air shelving system would work perfectly in my NYC apartment now for much needed storage, however it is so flexible that it would be a lifetime piece anywhere we go. The Queen Mary.. well who doesn’t love when organization meets a good time? This is more of a dream piece for me… sigh.

15.April.2014

Ooooo… this is tough, between the Barnyard and the Sunset Beach! Both would fit well in our rustic meets modern(ish) house. We don’t have enough storage space in the kitchen, and I know both of these pieces would work great on the office wall (which is next to the kitchen). Love this line!

15.April.2014

I need closed storage that is toddler-proofable, sturdy and nice to look at. Which is impossible to find in my price range (zero because my husband is a student and I’m a SAHM) so winning this would be wonderful.

I am actually about to move cross-country for my husband first post-school job. We sold off all of our furniture last summer (hand-me downs from our student era), and we have to start over with a 6 month-old baby.
Scratch that: we do have one piece of furniture that we’ve bought: a crib made with sustainable wood and low-VOC paint. Right now, we housesit for someone. So we live in their furniture. But I have about 6 weeks to furnish a home on a $2,000 budget.
So yeah, winning this would be soooo helpful.

I love The Barnyard bureau. It’s perfect for my current Chicago urban condo but would also work with a hopeful home in WI, in the future. It also a great mix of my contemporary style, the white sleek design, but has the wooden rustic feel that my husband is drawn to. I would love to include this piece in our upcoming nursery. Otherwise, we’ll give the baby our Ikea dresser and keep this nice piece for our room.

17.April.2014

I love the Cosmopolitan. I’ve been looking for something exactly like that for my bedroom.

17.April.2014

17.April.2014

My boyfriend and I just bought our FIRST home together and are struggling with what to do in our spacious bedroom for additional storage/decoration (his clothes and small items are currently taking up real estate in a pile on the floor next to the already full dresser!) We think The Open Air would add the perfect amount of function and character! It will go right under our window. (He’s an architect so is just as excited – if not more – about this amazing furniture as I am.) Not only does this piece seem to be the exact addition we are looking for, but it really speaks to our life style. We are green, energy conserving lovers of everything outdoors – there is NOTHING better than spending the day playing outside, or opening all the windows and letting fresh air in! The Open Air design seems to encourage that even more.

17.April.2014

I love the downtown loft bureau! I’d pt it in our bedroom :)

17.April.2014

Oh, I have had my eye on this company for awhile. Their pieces are just incredible!

Thanks for the giveaway!

18.April.2014

The Cosmopolitan would be the perfect, rustic bed frame for our long overdue guest bedroom project. My husband and I have been living in our 3-bedroom house for almost 3 years and have had no sleepover guests. It’s about time to change that!

18.April.2014

I love The Bright Lights Bureau

18.April.2014

Love love love the bridge & tunnel table. Been searching for the perfect table for our kitchen sitting area for 3 1/2 years and this is it. We have a laboratory-esque feel w. the barstools and lights and this is the perfect addition. It would replace the tiny round drop leaf table from our 415 square foot NYC apartment that has served us so well but doesn’t fill the space or meet the needs of our growing fam!

18.April.2014

The Bright Lights in my bedroom or the Sunset Beach in the living room. Too hard to choose!!

19.April.2014

The bridge and tunnel table rocks my world!

19.April.2014

Love the downtown loft credenza!

19.April.2014

I’m just getting started — straight out of college — so any piece would be fantastic! A great piece of modern furniture to keep with me as I find my way. I would love The Back Alley table or The L.A. Noire, or really anything from them!

19.April.2014

What beautiful pieces. I would definitely have to get The Downtown Loft for my bedroom but The Modern Times table is perfection.

19.April.2014

19.April.2014

I’d put the open air bookshelf in my office. Love the mix of open and closed cubbies :)

19.April.2014

Great giveaway! I’d put the open air bookshelf in my office. Love the mix of open and closed cubbies :)

19.April.2014

I love The City Lights and would buy two to replace our nightstand from target that are completely falling apart. What a beautiful collection!!

19.April.2014

The Downtown Loft Bureau for sure. It would probably go in the bedroom (although it’s a shame to put something that beautiful in a room where hardly anyone would ever see it).

19.April.2014

I love the Sunset Beach. So gorgeous! I would use it as an entertainment center in our living room.

20.April.2014

The City Lights bedside table for sure! I’ve been using an Ikea lack table for a nightstand after I impulsively threw away my old one!

20.April.2014

The Jigsaw Bookshelf for sure!!!

20.April.2014

I love the Downtown Loft and would use it as a buffet in the dining room.

20.April.2014

It’s really hard to have just one favorite…but I thought long and hard, and I have to choose Bright Lights, it’s just so elegant and functional. I’ve never seen those skinny drawers on the side before…it’s pure design genius!!! I would love to have that piece in my bedroom for all my foldables!

20.April.2014

With The Open Air you have actually improved on the Eames bookshelf that is sold regularly at Design Within Reach…AND so much more affordable!! I’m blown away by the beauty, grace, and functionality of this piece. I also have a lot of stuff, this unit in my living room would organize my world nicely and beautifully. LOVE!

21.April.2014

The Boxcar!! Right now we are making do with an old Ikea Hemnes media cabinet, and every time I open a drawer I think that this is the time it’s finally going to fall apart on me. I love the beautiful wood and configuration of the Boxcar, it would be perfect!!

21.April.2014

I love that nightstand!

21.April.2014

I love the back alley table! We have been without a dinning room table and would love to be able to entertain our friends. There is a perfect spot for this table in the dinning room.

21.April.2014

I like the The Farmhand credenza the best, I think (the open air bookshelf is a close second). We just bought our first house, and I think it’d work great in our dining room!

22.April.2014

Oh my Gosh! I love it all. But if I had to pick just one it would be the Boxcar Media Cab. I’m keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed! Thanks for sharing with us!!
