I’m in desperate need of new dish towels. Mine are badly stained and torn. {I’m almost embarrassed to hang them up in the kitchen.} I like these organic tea towels available from Madder Root on Etsy.
Each linen towel is hand-sewn and hand-printed. Only solvent-free, water-based inks are used to print the simple nature-inspired motifs. {The sand dollars are my fave.} It’s pretty evident that Madder Root is committed to creating quality items with an eye on the environment.
The towels are generously sized at ~20″ x 26″, making them perfect for drying dishes or wrapping up warm rolls in a serving bowl. And wouldn’t they be great as makeshift wrapping paper? Just fold one around a boxed gift and tie it up with some twine. Lovely. {How many times must I proclaim my love for multipurpose housewares?} Ringing in at under $20, any of these towels would make an affordable, one-of-a-kind house warming gift. Like what you see here? Check out Madder Root’s Etsy shop for more selection and items other than tea towels. {Hint: think napkins and scarves.} I haven’t scooped one up for myself yet. Not sure how long I’ll be able to hold out.
FYI – I was not compensated in any way for this post. I just love sharing lovely loves.
