...because home doesn't happen overnight.

*THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.*

Congrats to Cami who is a fan of Bob Barker’s cameo appearance in Happy Gilmore.

I don’t mean to bombard you with giveaways this week {having free stuff thrown in your face every once in a while isn’t all that bad, is it?} but I have another giveaway for you this holiday. Happy birthday America!

The Silhouette CAMEO is an electronic cutting tool for use at home. Like a printer, it plugs into your PC or Mac with a simple USB cable. However, instead of printing, the CAMEO uses a small blade to cut your designs – fonts or images – into a wide array of materials including cardstock, vinyl and heat transfer material. It’d be great for making your own stencils to customize a wall, rug or dresser. There’s a great little review here of using the CAMEO to adorn gift packages – another unique idea. The Silhouette site has a list of ideas to try.

Want to give the CAMEO a try? Fo’ free? See giveaway details below.

PRIZE: one Silhouette CAMEO {retail value of $300}

RULES: You must be at least 18 years old and have a shipping address within the U.S. {no P.O. boxes please} to enter. One entry per email address.

HOW TO ENTER: Follow the Silhouette blog here then leave a comment on this post proclaiming “MAKE A CAMEO APPEARANCE!”

DEADLINE: Enter before Tuesday, July 10th at 9:00 p.m. EST. One random winner will be announced Wednesday, July 11th.

WHILE YOU’RE AT IT: Tell me your all-time favorite cameo appearance in a movie or TV show. I’ll go first. I loved Tom Selleck on Friends as Monica’s boyfriend in a weird way. I think it was the mustache. Or wait. Was that only on Magnum P.I.?

FYI – H*T readers can score an exclusive discount by clicking here and entering the promotion code HOUSE at checkout. By following the link you will be able to get 1 Silhouette CAMEO and 1 Silhouette Studio Designer Edition Software for $269.99 (MSRP $350!) This offer is good through July 11th.

“MAKE A CAMEO APPEARANCE!”
If only I had a great memory to remember who had cameo appearances. But, alas my children have sucked my memory dry! :-)

MAKE A CAMEO APPEARANCE!

What a fabulous giveaway! I’ve been wanting one of these for what seems like forever!
As for the other kind of cameo, Friends had a ton of them, didn’t they? I’m going to have to go with Winona Ryder as Rachel’s old sorority sister. I thought Jennifer Aniston was pretty, but next to gorgeous Winona, she looked like a wallflower!

All the cameos in Anchorman. Crazy, stupid movie but I love it. It has Ben Stiller, Tim Robbins, Luke Wilson all in the crazy fight scene.

You’ve mentioned Fiddle Leaf Fig trees before. I’ve found them at several Home Depots now for only $9.99! I got one that’s 2.5″ +. Not the great big tree, yet, but it’s a good practice size to see if I can keep one alive. Thought you might be interested in trying one.
