*THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.*

Congrats to Sally who has an expectant friend in need of a cute-sy elephant bookend.

this age 3

I’ve always said my favorite age to experience with kids is the 16-24 months range. As most of you probably know, Mabrey was a completely unexpected addition to our family. She is the best surprise life has thrown our way. I feel so, so, SO fortunate that I am witnessing another little one as a young toddler. It is such a fun age! Of course, there are things with every age that I want to hold onto forever, things I could do without, things I worry about, things I laugh about and things I learn from. But watching my babies develop into bona fide little people does it for me. It’s fascinating to watch.

This girl doesn’t go anywhere without her Berry. My cousin gave the stuffed strawberry to Mabrey for Christmas last year and it hasn’t left her side since. She drags it around by one arm, props it up on the table while she eats, squeezes it when she realizes she hasn’t been holding it for the last five minutes, nuzzles it when she’s tired and spoons it while she sleeps. Mabrey gets very upset when Berry goes in the wash. Oh my! At our house, Berry is the bomb.

this age 4

Mabrey loves books. Upon waking, it never fails, she asks for a book before she’s left the crib. She pretends to read but my favorite is when she backs her little bootie up to me, sits in my lap and hands me a book. This is why I can’t get anything done. I would much rather feel that little girl in my lap than paint brick.

I love when Mabrey looks me dead in the eye and then erupts into a full-fledged jabberfest. I nod like I know what she’s saying and she will emphatically bob her head around as she “talks” to get her point across. She initiates wrestling matches with her brothers. She eats everything I put on her plate and then signs for more. She rarely cries when she gets hurt – just picks herself up, bloody knees and all, and keeps on going. She will say ‘dada’ all day long but only says ‘mama’ when she’s not feeling well. When I’m cleaning house, she’s at my side with a rag wiping up invisible messes. I have to keep the bathroom door shut or she plays in the toilet – something neither of my boys did. She likes to take things {dishes, toys, books, etc.} out then put them back, over and over. Mabrey LOVES to be outside. She hands me fallen leaves to put back on the trees. She has such a pure and innocent way of looking at the world around her. She excitedly points out every single dog, cat, bird and squirrel on our walks like it’s the first one she’s ever seen. She can spot an airplane in the sky as soon as she hears it. Girl has a lot of hair. It hangs right in her face. I can’t bring myself to cut it. Not yet.

this age 2

She can make a toy out of anything. Give the girl a stick and some dirt and she’s happy as can be. She prefers to be missing at least one piece of clothing at all times – either her bottoms or her top. When she’s tired, Mabrey grabs Berry, asks for her ‘bah-bah’, hurries to her room and stands next to the white noise machine waiting for me to turn it on. She knows the routine.

this age 1

Mabrey’s favorite time of day is right after lunch when Everett catches the bus to kindergarten. She stands in the driveway waving to him as he gets on and the bus pulls away. She’s happy when she wakes from her nap to find her brothers back home from school. She likes to steal Layne’s iPod and hide under the dining room table with it. She can turn it on and slide the arrow across but, so far, hasn’t figured out the password.

So, yeah, I love this girl. Especially at this age. We are lucky indeed.

this age 5

I want one of you to feel lucky, too. I’m giving away the elephant bookend seen above. Thanks for sharing this house-to-home/family-of-four-to-family-of-five journey with me. You’re pretty awesome.

LUCKY ME!

I agree with your favorite age, ti’s mine too! Their little eyes light up at everything and I LOVE to see the discoveries and all the learning! It’s a time where they’re truly becoming little people instead of babies. My little is 11 months old and I”m so excited to see who he becomes <3

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I am expecting my first one, so I have not put yet much thought in a 16-24 mo toddler. Right now, I keep my eyes on the labor phase of the big picture, and I progressively move on to learning more about caring for a newborn. That being said, your post warms my heart and makes me look forward to what come next!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My favorite age is 3-4 past most of the tantrum stage and talking, discovering, but still so small and needing mommy.

21.August.2013

Lucky me! I love my daughter at the age she is now which is 9months! She can’t get away from me quite yet but is so interactive and loves to explore! I especially love feeding her new food for the first time!!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I don’t have any children yet, but I have to say, that infant baby clean smell is addicting and I love it!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I have 4 kids…ages 10-3…I love Kindergarten age…kids feel so grown up now riding the bus and all, but you still get to keep them around a year longer before they are gone all day for school…good times.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I currently seem to love whatever age my niece is (the only child I really know). She is currently about 21 months old and it seems like every day she has new talents to show me. I love how her little mind comes up with games and dances and how she can just play with herself for hours. I also love when she learns a new word and how clearly she now says Mommy, Baby, and “No Way!” (slay me now)! And it also kills me how the only animal sound she knows is dinosaur. I just dont ever want her to grow up but she keeps on doing it and it keeps on getting more awesome!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I’m torn between the 14-18 month range or 3 years as my favorite (granted I haven’t experienced kids older than 3 yet). I love watching my 14 month old daughter figure out walking, exploring and babbling but there is something really amazing about watching my 3 year old hold conversations with other people and some of the things he says are hilarious!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I have two, beautiful blessings at home ages 18 months and 32 months. Our house is busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. They are the greatest joys in my life (and so is my husband).

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I have a 26 month old and a 9 month old. So, only having experience up to 26 months- my favorite is…. ok, can’t pick. the whole journey has been a blast!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
We are expecting our “surprise” baby and we couldn’t feel more blessed that our life has turned down this path. It was unexpected and with three boys (4,3 and 1) we are truly in the throws of life! My favorite age is just around the year mark when changes happen at such a rapid pace. Bennett, our littlest bambino, turned one last week and everyday is a new adventure for him. He just started saying Mama (and meaning it) and trying to communicate with pointing and squealing. Such joy!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

Six months is my favorite age. Routines start to click, babes are beautiful and chubby and super cuddly. So cute!

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!

I have to agree with you about the 18-24 month age. For me though it’s the great nieces and nephews I am watching with a huge smile!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! As my girls are entering 7th and 9th grade this fall, I can’t help but think back to the toddler ages and I miss is so. Mabrey is so stinking cute, enjoy these years!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My daughter is 2 1/2 now…can’t believe how quickly time flies!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My daughter will be 2 in 10 days and these last few months have been my favorite time! But she is our first so I don’t have anything to compare it to. People tell me it gets better. Either way, I look forward to to it.

21.August.2013

Lucky me!! I love the early elementary years. When they are just becoming themselves!

21.August.2013

lucky me! i love pachyderms.

21.August.2013

Lucky me!
i’m loving the 3 year old age that we’re experiencing right now (minus the tantrums!)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I love so many stages . . . 7-10 months is definitely one of my favorites, but now that my youngest is 18 months, I forgot how much I love all the huge language development at this age. So that too!

21.August.2013

Lucky me!

My first will be 6 weeks old tomorrow, so I don’t have any real perspective on any other ages yet. Right now I’m just trying to enjoy every day because everyone says it all moves too quickly!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I’ve got an almost 1 and a 3.5 year old and with both my favorite months are 6-12. I love that they still want to be held and snuggled but they are just starting to really develop little personalities. Although, some of the things that come out of my 3.5 yo’s mouth are downright hilarious!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

no kids for this girl, but a good friend of mine JUST had a babygirl a month ago and decorated her entire nursery in elephants. this would be a nice surprise for her.

and that mabrey of yours is adorable! she sounds like she’s so much fun to be around.

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!

I seem to just love every stage! Every few months, I tell my husband how much I like this age and all my reasons why. Haha! They all have perks!

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!

Mabrey’s getting so big! I love this age too! My son and Mabrey are only a couple days apart in age so I know exactly what you’re dealing with. My guy has a toilet fascination too so our bathroom doors are always closed as well! It’s so interesting watching them figure the world out!

Lucky Me! 6-12 months is a fun age….changing each day. I have a 3 year old and boy is she bossy. Way to much for me to handle…I’m trying to prepare myself for teenage years already!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I’m still waiting for a little one to come our way, but I’m hoping that day comes very soon.

21.August.2013

Lucky ME! I love 6 months to 2 years :)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I have a 2 year old and he is growing up too fast. I love that I can now ask him questions like “how was your day at daycare,” and he responds “read book with grace.” Melts my heart–WE are having a conversation!

21.August.2013

Lucky me! It’s hard to say my favorite age, as I’m on my first child, but I will say that the age he’s at now (9 months) is pretty fantastic-he’s really starting to explore the world around him & it’s amazing to watch.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! i have four littles, 7, 5, 3 and 3. like most parents out there, there’s something to love in every stage, but man, am i enjoying my 7 year old right now. the constand devouring of “real” books, the sense of humor, creativity and insight into the world around him. the skills and abilities he’s developing on his own without any direct input from his dad or me… so awesome.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I don’t have children quite yet but my husband and I are so excited to have the stage where they cuddle with you all the time… is that infant/todler? and then ends at 11 or 12? hehe.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I’m very lucky – I have 15 month old twins and we are just embarking on this exciting stage! I adore them both and am loving watching them absorb and learn everything. Their favorite thing is to imitate things that my husband and I do, then glance slyly at one another before bursting into giggles. I never knew my heart could swell so big.

21.August.2013

Lucky me!

I have a 2 1-2 year old and a three month old. The first time around, I was so nervous and busy, I feel like I missed out on some special tiny, baby moments, so it has been a blast re-experiencing these little things with a second baby, and watching his older sister dote on him is absolutely precious.

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!! My kids are older. 22 and 20 now. I have to say my favorite time had to be when they were at the ages of 10 to 14 probably. We had the most fun going places. They always liked hanging out with us and they still do.

21.August.2013

Lucky me! I adore my 18 month old – I had lots of fun last summer with her when it was easy to wrap her up in my woven wrap and head across town not having to worry about packing food for her (just me!). But every day is amazing!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! So far I’m loving one year old!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

My son is 18 months and south fun! I’m sure every age is going to be awesome but we are enjoying the things he is into now!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My daughter is 16 weeks old today and everyday she is my new favorite age. I love watching her learn new things and get more interactive as she gets older.

21.August.2013

Lucky me! No kids of my own yet, but I love my friends’ kids who are under 2.

21.August.2013

Lucky me!
I really like 5-7 months, but 3 has been pretty fun so far with my son.

21.August.2013

I have no kids of my own yet so I would love any age!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My favorite age is 3-5 years….love it!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

You are making me super jealous that I don’t have kids yet!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I am expecting my first child now, so I’ll get back to you :)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I don’t think I can pick a favorite! Like you said, all have fun milestones and challenging times. I just sent my oldest to Kindergarten last week, and watching her become some self-sufficient is very rewarding. At the same time, my 21 month old is busy discovering all the little things, and I am 3 months away from being able to cuddle a newborn! So blessed!!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
What a fantastic post. Mabrey seems like a very sweet little girl. I have a hard time deciding what my favourite age is. I absolutely love the squishy infant phase and carrying a baby around all day, but I also love the age you’re talking about. Watching a little one develop into their own person is really magical. Luckily, I am a nanny and have had the pleasure and the privilege of seeing two (soon to be three) little ones grow from infant to now almost two and four. I am also pregnant with my first child and while I’m only 14 weeks I find myself impatient to meet my baby and get to know them.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

Levis is my first and is 10 months old. So far each month he gets older I claim, “This is my favorite age yet!” He’s just so much fun. I loved being pregnant & having a kid (past 6 weeks old that is. Those first 6 weeks are rough) and feel I could, quite possibly, turn into the next Michelle Duggar! ;)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I have a 3 year old and a 4 month old and so far I have loved spending time with at them every age, but two was probably my favorite. He was walking, talking, and able to do new and fun things together.

21.August.2013

Lucky meeeee! No babies of my own yet (expect my four legged fur balls) but as a newborn photographer I AM ENAMORED with that fresh out of the oven stage. Squishy and moveable and soft and those little baby sighs…ahhhh.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I cannot believe she is already so big! I love the stage before babies start to crawl. They are so curious about the world. Bright eyed and innocent. They smile and coo and miss you when you are gone. But they can’t get into trouble yet :)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I’m due with my first on September 29th — but my niece Norah is the same age as Mabrey, and I agree that it seems like it’s the most “fun” age! :) She’s go go go, and so much fun to interact with!

21.August.2013

Lucky me!

Okay, so my girl’s only 11 months. Needless to say I’m super excited about her growing into this age range!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I was surprised how much I loved that age (15-24 months) with my first and now that my second is 16 months, I can definitely say that it’s my favorite. I think, for me, it’s fun because she is capable in so many ways, is learning to communicate/imitate more everyday and keeps herself so busy but…can’t talk back yet. Haha. Love the book end and I hope I win! ;)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I don’t have any kids yet. I used to babysit a friend of my dads kids…and it was not a good experience because the younger girl was a spoiled brat. I did learn that I hated changing diapers…like almost threw up everytime. Im hoping that it wont be as bad when its my own kids that im changing.

21.August.2013

Lucky Me! I have four children and without a doubt my favorite is the first two weeks. I’d keep a newborn in my house forever if I could. It’s probably why I keep having babies. :-) I don’t mind missing sleep to snuggle my babies. :-)

21.August.2013

Lucky me!

I’m on my first child who is 9.5 months. So far it just keeps getting better and better!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!!!

I am expecting my first daughter in October. This would be so adorable in her room.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

My daughter is 20 months old and I have to agree- this is such a fun age!!

21.August.2013

lucky me !
— my favorite age is 12 months-4 years. i love kids as new toddlers as they wobble and make messes, experiment with new fews and start their babbling. but i also love them at 3 and 4 because they are starting to really develop their imagination. my daughter is 4 and tells crazy stories about a huge spider that always bites the princess, even though i’ve told stories about a spider and princess who live in harmony… now i really want another baby. thanks. =P

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I have a 19 month old and it is pretty fun. I don’t know that I have a favorite age (I also have 6 & 7 year old boys) but toddlers are pretty hilarious.

21.August.2013

Lucky me! My grandson is 15 months and I LOVE this age. He is full of energy and love! He is such a blessing!!!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I am expecting my first in January – this would be a perfect addition to the nursery!

21.August.2013

Lucky Me! I have a 4 year old and an 18 month old. There are blessings at every age – my 18-mo old is a BLAST, but I also love the independence that my 4 year old has – I still am in awe that he can now buckle himself in. That small detail just makes going places so much easier. :)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My second daughter is 18 months right now and she is SO cute! I love this age too! I also have an almost 4 year old girl and I would take a toddler over a fit throwing 3 year old any day.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

We have 3 kiddos, almost 4, 2, and 2 months! I have to say all ages have their ups and downs but I agree and think around 24 months is one of my favorites so far!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

So hard to choose! I think mine is the 12-36 month stage too. When they are learning to be independednt but still cling and snuggle. Nothing is better than snuggling with my little ones. :)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I don’t have any kids yet, but I have some adorable friends’ kids!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I have to agree with you on favorite age. I have a daughter who will be 2 in October and I love seeing how her personality is coming out! She learns new words and phrases everyday.

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!!!! I have a three year old and a 7.5 month old son, and I just love his age. I have to admit I didn’t when my daughter was that age (PPD and all) but this time around I am in total love!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! 18 – 24 mos. is the best!

21.August.2013

I have four beautiful children. LUCKY ME! Each of them has a jungle animal that represents them. My four month old happens to be an elephant. It makes me happy to collect these little animals that symbolize my children in my heart.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I’m a fan of the 3-4s – you can just see them learning so much and becoming real little independent people

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I’ve always enjoyed kids in the 3-5 age range! They say some of the funniest things!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I’d have to say 9-18 months has been my favorite for both my kids individually – but now that the baby is nearing 2 I’m really loving the interactions between them that their advanced ages allow.

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!

I’ve got a 27 month old right now, and I have to say, things are pretty fun. ANYTHING older than 11 months is great!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I like the 3 year-4 year range. Although I don’t have my own kids so this is just when I find my friends’ kids the best to play with.

21.August.2013

Lucky me! I haven’t experienced all the ages yet, but as a first time mom with her 4 week old sleeping on her chest, I have to say this is it. Her baby smell and little hands clasping my finger puts me on cloud nine.

21.August.2013

“LUCKY ME!”
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the 6-8 month age….they can sit, but not move! They are content with playing with things right in front of them and (should be) sleeping through most of the night!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I love my nieces age right now (just before 2). In just a matter of months she’s gone from random words to full sentences, and I just love seeing that transformation!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I am still waiting to find out, no kiddos yet :)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I used to think that I wouldn’t like it when my nieces were past the baby and toddler age, but I LOVE taking my oldest niece (age 5) on roller coasters!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I have a 2 week old, and I am enjoying EVERY moment with him!!! :)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

Favorite age, 3-4yrs when they can hold conversations and express curiousity about the things we never notice in everyday life!

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!
My favorite age is 18-24 months. Their personality really develops then and their mom is still considered cool!

21.August.2013

Lucky me! Mabrey is adorable! Fantastic post and giveaway! I love elephants because my mom collected them all of her life! Anyway, my babies are 16 and 14! It’s very bittersweet! I love that they’re happy independent people, but it doesn’t seem so long ago that they were as adorable as Mabrey! Time flies so enjoy every minute! Sorry, school started back today and I must be feeling very nostalgic!! My favorite age was 3 or 4, when we could have funny little conversations and they still wanted to cuddle!

21.August.2013

lucky me!

no kids yet, but i love snuggling the new babies. so sweet :)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
My daughter is 8 months and I am loving this age. She just started crawling which has made life so much fun.

21.August.2013

Lucky me! I’m enjoying my 15 month old more than ever. It’s an amazing time!

21.August.2013

Lucky Me! My adorable little blubber is scheduled to make his appearance this October, I’m looking forward to all of it (except potty training haha)!

21.August.2013

Lucky Me! Yes, there are many great parts to 16-24 months, but I hate the frustration that comes with this age. The wanting to communicate, but the not being able to actually do it. I hate not knowing what they want.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! With my older son, I absolutely adored about 9-18 months. My younger son, now 2.5, is so much fun right now (super cuddly, loves reading, eats anything), it’s great.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

My bff is pregnant with her first (I do not have any children…yet) – would love, love to give this to her as a gift to go along with the books I’m giving her!

Your daughter is adorable!

21.August.2013

How cute!

I’d say 18 months. They are young enough to communicate but not too old to talk back! ;)

21.August.2013

Lucky me! We are hoping to start a family real soon, so have lots to look forward too :)

21.August.2013

“LUCKY ME!” I love when they are newborns and the 3-5 yr range. : ) BTW, I can’t believe how big your little girl is, she is so sweet!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!!! My 9 month old is the perfect age. He’s crawling and getting around, smiling, cooing, babbling, and cuddly. He can’t yet walk or talk but he’s able to crawl up, stare me in the face, touch my face, play with my hair and smile at me making me feel so special in such an endearing way. What a sweetie pie they are at this age before they grow out of that baby stage.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I have a 9 and 7 year old, and I actually find Ben’s 7 year oldness to be my favorite thus far. He’s just so funny, thinks of awesome things that just keep me amazed at how cool of a kid he is. Baby time was great, but I’m really enjoying who they’re growing up to be.

21.August.2013

Lucky Me! I think this would so cute in our playroom :) My kids are 5 1/2 and 2 1/2… I love every moment of every age (except when I’m exasperated and exhausted by them, LOL).

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My baby turned 1 today….and we feel so lucky….he makes us so happy. This makes me look forward to the next phase- especially as I am feeling a little sad to leave the baby stage.

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!! No kiddos yet, but love by 21 month old niece to pieces!!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I can’t wait to experience that age! How fun! Your little family is just adorable. I was eyeing that elephant up the whole post… too sweet! Would fit in my little guy’s room perfectly!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME. My favorite age is around 3. When their attention span is a little longer, and we can actually do fun projects and read for longer than 2 minutes!

21.August.2013

Lucky Me! I only have one little one who just so happens to be 18 months on Monday – so I can relate a LOT to this post! This is definitely been my favorite stage so far, but I’m excited to see what’s next as well :)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! Hmm I’d have to say my favorite age is when they’re sitting up but not crawling, so at our house that’s between 5ish and 9ish months.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I’d have to agree with you on the 16-24 month stage. I have twin 18 month olds and the similarities between them and Mabrey are uncanny – except she has a lot more hair. I love watching them develop into little people, what an amazing blessing being a parent is.
thanks for the international prize I’m crossing my fingers all the way from Canada!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! There is are so many things I love about so many of the different ages. I really don’t know that I have a favorite. Maybe around six weeks and around two years. Although I really do enjoy my kids when they are school age as well.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I have a 3 year old and 1 year old boy and I feel so blessed to have them! They are the light of my life! I think about the same kinds of things with them as you’ve written about in your blog about Mabrey. Such precious little lives!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I don’t have any kids (not in the cards for us unfortunately) but I love my new cousin to bits. She was born 8 weeks early and is just the cutest little thing imaginable.

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!

I really like the young cuddly age before they decide they dont need you and would rather run around like a hooligan. Im lucky that I get to experience it again starting next year.

21.August.2013

“LUCKY ME!”

I don’t have children, but my boyfriend’s niece and nephew are 1 and 2 right now. He is awesome because he just want to be next to you and she is awesome because she is getting sassy — in a good way.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

Mabrey is the cutest! I love the stage she’s in and how you shared all of her fun moments and quirks. She sounds like she has a beautiful little personality :)

21.August.2013

Lucky me!!

I don’t have any kids yet but I can’t wait until we do and he or she (of they) reach the age Mabrey is at. She sounds like a perfect sweetheart.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
So hard to choose an age. My boy just turned 4 and it is pretty awesome to hear him talk about how he sees the world. He says the most amazing things. We have another boy on the way in about a month and can’t wait to see what sort of person he will be.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

And I am lucky…as I get to spend everyday figuring out what my favorite age is as I watch my sweet 6 week old little girl, first child, become more aware and grow! I am cherishing each day and look forward to discovering the 16-24 mo age, as well as many more!

21.August.2013

Lucky me!! I had tears in my eyes reading this! I’m excited to start a family one day – especially with a little girl, there’s something so sweet and innocent about them! Lucky you!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

My Grandson was born healthy yesterday after pregnancy complications and fluid on his heart, he seems to be fine. Love, love, love

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! We are going through the highs and lows of trying to get pregnant, so for me any age would be the perfect age.

PS- Your daughter is beautiful!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I love 5, although I’m finding out that middle schoolers are pretty awesome, too!

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!

My youngest is now 7 and I have to say I miss the baby stage…I don’t know if its my favorite, as each stage is so fun…but I miss holding and cuddling a new born. All 4 of my kids have grown way too fast!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
Not sure what my favorite age is yet…I am on my first kiddo and he’s just 8 months. I will say that his current state is my fave so far though. He gets the giggles and squeals with excitement every day.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I don’t have kids of my own yet, but my 10 month old niece is pretty adorable. Her 2 1/2 year old sister on the otherhand, is a maniac. A cute maniac.

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!! Right now I’m loving the 2-3 year old range they are so curious and mostly easy to please & love the age our older son is at right now 12-13 independent and responsible but still a kid that loves eating dinner as a family & hanging out with his mom dad….I’m loving the age gap right now between our kids

21.August.2013

Lucky me!! For other people’s kids, usually 3-4 years old. They want to play & are so much fun. My baby’s only almost 1 (tomorrow! Such an old little miss!) so I’m not sure with my own child. She’s a lot of fun now, though

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! Love the ages between 5-7

21.August.2013

Lucky Me! I have a 19 month old, and am loving the stage she is in! My daughter sounds a lot like yours, loves to be outside, will read books all day long, and can’t get enough of her older brother.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!!

I love the older toddler – my daughter is just 1, so I’m looking forward to more walking, talking and interacting.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I’m a first-time mom to a six-month-old daughter and each day gets sweeter and sweeter. The first few months were tough, but pretty much from five months onward has been a true delight.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My girl is 8 months old, every month since she was born I have proclaimed as my favorite age. It just keeps getting better and better!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

Well, my baby is 2 months old and it’s a pretty sweet age, but I love when they’re 5 or 6 months old – too young to crawl, mbut not too delicate – perfect little cuddlers!

21.August.2013

Lucky Me! I have a four month old and a 2.5 year old. I had completely forgotten how sweet and cute babies are at four months when they are just starting to talk and coo and laugh.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I do not have any children yet, but my best friend has the most incredible 2 1/2 year old boy. So far, in being around him and watching him grow, the last 6 months have been the most hilarious, entertaining, insightful, and heart-warming. I’m constantly amazed by how creative he is, and how quickly he figures things out. Definitely my favorite age so far!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME…
anything after the first year. I think the first year of parenting just sucks the life right out of me. I am on round two with an *almost* 7 mo old. And I am looking forward to that light at the end of the tunnel!

21.August.2013

Lucky me!
I think 2-3 is my favourite when they really start talking and putting sentences together that are all jumbled up and adorable, love it! And I love how excited they are about everything at this age too! Nothing beats the big smile on their face when they she you first thing in the morning :)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My favorite age is the kindergarten-first grade age, so I guess between 5 and 6. I love that you can carry on a conversation and the stories they tell are some of the funniest. We also had a very unexpected surprise baby girl, well, she’ll be 12 next month, but she will always be my baby girl. She really is the very best thing that I never knew I wanted and we honestly cannot imagine our family any different. :)

21.August.2013

Lucky Me! I’m not sure what my favorite age is yet. Our first one is due October 18th and right now we’re just loving wondering what she’ll be like and who she will look like, sweat adventures we’ll have!

21.August.2013

“LUCKY ME!” right now my favorite age to experience is my 8 – 10 year old granddaughters. they love to talk and have tea parties and do “grown-up girlie” things. so fun!!!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
My daughters are 5 and 3 1/2 right now. My favorite age? hmmm.. I love 16-24 months for all the reasons you mentioned, I love 3 for all the hilarious things they say/come up with, and I love 5 so far, my eldest daughter has suddenly grown up so much, she follows directions so well, helps around the house, helps her sister, helps take care of our pets, she’s excited for school and every time she learns something new her whole face lights up and she can’t wait to tell me all about it, the downside is that she doesn’t need me as much, but she’s always been more of a daddy’s girl. She’s a little person, coming into her own. It is so fun watching her.

21.August.2013

Lucky me! I don’t have any babies, but I do have a sweet little neice. Her name is Ellianna and we all call her Ellie for short. Also, elephants are going to be a bit of a theme in her life…

21.August.2013

Lucky me! I love elephants and am always looking for something different in the elephant world! This takes the cake! I love it!

21.August.2013

Lucky me! I don’t have any kids, but have a niece and nephew. My favorite age with kids, especially my niece, was when she was a baby and then that 12-18 month window. She was just a hoot.

21.August.2013

Lucky me!

My son is 15 months and this is my fave age spots far!!!

21.August.2013

Lucky Me! My favorite age is 3 – 4ish. That time where you’re dressing that little person for preschool, how they think they are grown up and can’t wait to get to school and have “homework”. I love the much independence they gain. Although It’s sad for me, knowing that we can eat out and not hear a “I need to go pipi” every 8 minutes (true story with my second daughter)it’s golden!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! Love 2 to 3…..seeing their little personality develop!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I am auntie to a beautiful 8 week old girl and mom to two wonderful boys, ages 7 and 12.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I would vote 6-9 years old, since I’ve taught first and third grade. However, I don’t have kiddos of my own (yet- I’m working on baking one), so I could definitely see myself falling in love with a younger age.

Loved this post and a little insight into Mabrey’s personality. :)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I love the 4-8 age range. So curious and so much fun!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I’m expecting my FIRST, so right now…the newborn stage is my favorite. :)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! Fingers crossed for a win on my birthday weekend!

Favorite age? Puppy! Fur kids count, right?

21.August.2013

Lucky me! Love all the stages beside the 4-5-6 y. They just test the limits to much for me. It does seems to be settling with the 7 y…until teenagehood I guess!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! Since I just had my first baby last October we haven’t hit that 16-24 month stage yet but I’m looking forward to it. Right now at 10 months I am loving every day with my little one. She’s starting to walk and is so curious about everything.

21.August.2013

Lucky me!
My son is 15months and I’m loving this time and age now, so I’m certain the following months will be just as fun as he continues to develop his fun personality!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
Our first is only almost 5 months but I love the stage he’s in now! He seems to be learning something new every day, making new discoveries, and is generally a pretty happy little boy! So excited to watch him grow!

21.August.2013

lucky me! I have a 2.5 year old girl and 6 year old boy. When I slow down enough to appreciate it, I have loved the magic of each stage. It just goes too fast!! Thanks for the chance to win!

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!

Age 1-2 is my favorite too! So much change and growth, plus heir little personalities emerge during this stage!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
Lucky to have such a great family and 2 year old mutt :)

21.August.2013

Lucky me! This was such a sweet post :)
My daughter will turn 1 in 6 days. It has been my favorite stage with her so far. I love watching her explore the world and she’s still so cuddly. Watching her take a few steps is so exciting and when we cheer and clap she is so proud of herself. The elephant would be perfect because that is the theme for her first birthday party!

LUCKY ME!

I think 18 months is the sweet spot. I’m looking forward to it with my youngest, who is now 10 months.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! There is so much to enjoy at every stage my children go through, but I absolutely adore the 6-12 month phase. (P.S.- I felt like I could have written this exact post because my little girl is 16 months right now too. The baby jabbering is my absolute favorite.) :)

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!

3 is a great age!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I just love this post. Every little description of that girl is so wonderful, it almost makes me want to have another baby! We have 2 kids now, pretty close in age to your boys, and I keep thinking we are at such a great place right now. But so often I long to see it all over again, especially as my kids get bigger and a little less innocent. I definitely think Mabrey is at such a great age….developing her little personality- there is such a huge sense of discovery then. You have a beautiful family, and thanks for sharing it with us!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
Favorite age for me is 12-24 months.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I don’t have any children of my own but I love the newborn to year old span. So much growth in such a short time and so many good cuddles fit in there!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I think each ‘stage’ gets better, but I’ve always said my favorite age was starting at 16 months. We got pregnant with our second child, and I dreaded the newborn stage, people told me I was exaggerating and only remembering the bad things, and that it’s a great stage. Fast forward to now: I have a 4 week old. It’s terrible. I wasn’t exaggerating, I’m waiting for the 16 month age. (We’ve had a rough couple of days, can you tell? lol) Adorable elephant! Even more adorable Mabrey!!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I love 1-year olds, and mine would love an elephant like that!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My little girl was born the week after Mabrey, and is my first and only child so I am loving each age but I have to say this last month has taken it to a whole new level! 16 months is amazing!

21.August.2013

lucky me!
I have a 23 month old and a 4 year old and I’ve loved every step of the way

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My nieces and nephews are 2-4 years old and I love how inquisitive they are.

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!! I am due with my first baby November 3rd and that elephant book end would be perfect for our little guys nursery.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My daughter is a week younger than Mabrey and I fully agree with you, this is definitely my favorite age. My son is four, so I’ve experienced it before, but watching my daughter reach all of these “firsts” is so much fun. It’s also a little bittersweet, because we plan for her to be our last, so knowing I won’t see another baby reaching these milestones makes me tell her to stop growing up so fast!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!! My little one is nearly three and so far I feel like every stage is the best stage. But I guess that is because I only have one so far :-)

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!! My favorite age is the early elementary years. They can express themselves and still want hugs and to have mom and dad by their side :)

21.August.2013

Lucky Me! Is it weird I’m diggin the 3’s? Yes, big tantrums, but also BIG fun!

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!!!!

I think one ofy favorite ages is the 7-9 month age where they are starting to crawl, stand up, maybe even walk. It’s a hard age but so full of wonder for them, you can finally start seeing a bit of personality. :)

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My favorite age is 9 to 24 months. We are just entering the 2s, and how I miss my sweet, easy baby!

21.August.2013

LUCKY LUCKY ME!
I adore the baby stage!! its so squishy!!! But the 24-36 month age, where they communicate, and tell you everything, but are so completely innocent! Our 3 boys tell us exactly what they need (90% of the time)! and i adore it! (in between the crazy no-reason tantrums the other 10%)
So adorable- my sis loooooves elephants- would be perfect for her new NURSERY!!! OMG! yup!
EXCITED!!!
Thanks for letting us follow your family as well as the house evolution!!!
Cheers!!!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I agree with you. My daughter is 21 months and is so independent and fun to watch.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I have a 3 yr old boy and a 4 mo old girl so too soon to pick a favorite age yet. I guess it depends on how the day has been. Some days are “I love every age” and some days are ” the best age is when they are old enough to come visit”!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I don’t have kids yet, (and they are adorable at all ages when you’re allowed to hand them back to their moms!) so I’ll plead ignorant on this question. Would love the bookend though–two expecting friends this could be perfect for!

21.August.2013

“LUCKY ME!” I feel the exact same way about my 21 month old. He acts like he is going on 13. He surprises me on a regular basis with his smarts and comedic timing.

21.August.2013

Lucky Me! I only have a 2 and a 4 year old, so I can’t comment too much, but the toddler years are GREAT.

21.August.2013

Lucky Me! I have many “favorite ” ages but the 1st age I live is 10mos, it’s the months where that baby that hasn’t done much but googoo gaga is now starting to show there personality and it’s more back and forth playing starting to pull up and walk all so fascinating and exciting!

21.August.2013

Lucky me! I love the 16-24 month old too. Something about the discovery and sheer delight in every day:) My hubby and I have a 12 year old and would love one more. Cheers~

21.August.2013

Lucky me!
My first is on three months and I haven’t been around many children to have a absolute favorite yet but I love it when they’re around one!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I don’t have a baby yet, but hope to soon!!

21.August.2013

Lucky me! I loved right around 2. Starting to really talk which was so fun!

21.August.2013

Lucky me!
My favorite age is 9 months when they are crawling around. My nephew loves to get chased and will crawl away laughing and screaming.

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
We’re at 9 months right now with our first and I’m so excited for the 16-24mo stage! I’m ready for him to be a bit more independent and able to communicate his needs. But I’m soaking in this stage, too!

21.August.2013

Lucky Me!
I’m at that stage with my little guy and it’s so much fun! He’s always making me laugh!

21.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I have two boys ages 5 and 3 and my sweet little girl is 11 months. I love the stage that she is at. So curious of her surroundings, becoming more independent but still wanting mommy!

22.August.2013

Lucky Me!!
My daughter is 13 months and it’s a pretty great age too! LOVE everything about it!

22.August.2013

Lucky Me!
And yay Canada!
I am a step parent to two children, currently aged 9 and 11, and each age has been my favourite. My daughter is funny and delightful, and my son is serious and into fart humour, all at the same time. Medically unable to have children of my blood, these are the children of my soul and there is nothing I wouldn’t do for them.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I hope I am lucky this time, I love elephants AND books!

I love the almost- and just-walking stage, before they really gain their “sea legs”, so to speak. Not only are they adorable, but there’s also something so encouraging about watching them try and try and never give up. A good lesson for us adults! We’re too prone to giving up too quickly.

22.August.2013

Lucky Me!!

I love the toddler stage, it is so much fun. But now my oldest is moving onto the Tween years. I thought it would be horrible but I love that I can have ‘adult’ time with my eleven year old–go shopping, play with make up, dress up, design outfits and laugh together. We have our rough moments but I am enjoying the person that she is coming.

22.August.2013

“LUCKY ME!”

My husband and I are trying to start our family and this little elephant would be perfect for our future nursery! We have close ties to Africa and hope to plan a gender neutral african nursery for our (hopefully) soon-to-be little one! I don’t have any kids yet but I’m sure each stage of the child’s life will be amazing to watch!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!!!!

I agree the 16-24months timeframe rocks. I’m a little sad our daughter turns 2 on Sept 8th – she really has turned into a little lady over the past six months. Everyday i see a little less ‘baby’ and a little more ‘kid’.

22.August.2013

Lucky me! Can I be honest and say that I’m really looking forward to the toddler years? We’ve had the roughest time with our baby (colic + reflux) so it’s been hard to say that these days are my favorite age. I know we shouldn’t wish time away but really can’t wait until the constant screaming and no sleeping stops.

22.August.2013

Lucky me! Reading your post has me really missing the younger years with my own daughters (they are 16, 12 and 12). I really liked the toddler years with my oldest daughter, but these were hard years with my twins! With them, the first year was one of my favorites. They were good, easy babies who slept well and they were just so sweet. I can’t believe how quickly they are growing up!

22.August.2013

Lucky me! I really love newborn babies, I know, you’re tired but I can’t resist their sweetness!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My favorite age is around 14-24 months.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!!
My daughter has a pink elephant that she carried everywhere. This would be a fantastic addition to her room! It’s her favorite animal.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

My daughter is 11 months old, so for my family (so far!) we have savored the 8 – 11 month age. Audrey is just starting to walk, babbles every minute she’s awake, waves hello and bye-bye…. she’s pretty much just the bee’s knees as far as we are concerned. :)

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

My daughter just turned 26 months and I’ve been loving this latest stage since she turned 2! She explores everything and is so creative about the games she invents for herself, and she is so much more affectionate than when she was younger, for some reason. We’ve also managed to escape any terrible two problems so far, so I’m definitely feeling lucky these days!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

My husband and I have not decided to try and have children, but my older sisters is finally pregnant (after 4 years of trying). It will be the first grandchild in our family. We are beyond excited to experience all the different ages with this little girl or boy.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

Right now my son is 23 months. I think I have to agree with the 16 – 24 range. I’m afraid that we are headed for those terrible twos and while everyday is an exciting adventure with him I’m not looking forward to potty training and tantrums!

22.August.2013

Lucky me!!! I have a nearly 36-month-old and a 14-month-old, I would say that range is currently the best! They understand things, get along with each other, and can play independently. It is so fun to watch!

22.August.2013

Lucky me! Love teaching songs to little kids then hearing them sing them while they play. :)

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! This would go PERFECT in our first babies nursery :) We don’t know the sex and we’ve gone with an elephant theme.

22.August.2013

“LUCKY ME!”Thanks for the chance to enter, that is such a cute book end!

22.August.2013

Lucky me! I think the age I love varies with the kid. With our son, it was ~18months. With our daughter, it was newborn. She was a snuggler!

22.August.2013

Lucky Me! No kids yet! Been trying for 4 years though….

22.August.2013

Lucky me! I love the newborn days where all they do is cuddle.

22.August.2013

Lucky Me! I prefer 24+, but really I adore any moment spent with my son.

22.August.2013

Lucky Me! I love newborns.

22.August.2013

Lucky Me! I don’t have kids, just a lot of nieces and nephews. I would have to say my favorite age has been 3 and 5…

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I have a 3.5 year old and a 6 year old. I’m ready to be done with the terrible 3s but I do miss the twos. They were both so much fun and took naps ;)

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! this would be perfect in our “Ellie the Elephant”‘s room. SHe’s three and (almost) perfect.

22.August.2013

Lucky me! I’m a mother of four and I love all my ages/stages (6, 4, 3, 8 months). At the risk of being cheeses, really can’t decide.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I’m just an auntie, but I’m loving my 3 year old niece – she’s so much fun to play with and I love seeing what her imagination comes up with! :)

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!! My favorite age is 2 yeas old, I have two grandsons that age and they are so much fun! I do love cuddling newborns also though! My daughter just had twins, a boy and a girl! I love holding and rocking them so much!!!

22.August.2013

Lucky Me! I like about 18-20 months old…old enough to chatter and express herself, but not old enough to be contrary. BUT…after having another new one, I am very fond of the 3-6 month age…expressive and smiley, but not moving and getting into things yet!

LUCKY ME! My daughter is 2, so right now that is my favourite age. I love that we are able to start doing fun activities and that she is FINALLY starting to talk!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!! This would be perfect in my Sister-in-law’s nursery.

22.August.2013

Lucky me!
I got such joy reading your post. I have only one child, a 4 month old girl. She is such a blessing. I am excited for every stage she will have. Right now I’m enjoying her being small enough to hold and love.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I get to be the mom of a 9 month-old! I don’t have a current favorite age, every stage has been amazing and while it’s sad that she’s growing up so fast, I’m excited to see her grow and develop into a little person. It’s so bittersweet isn’t it?

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! Our first baby girl is arriving in October and I can’t wait to meet her and see the little girl that she grows into! Thanks for being so generous with this giveaway!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I really loved those new born days!

22.August.2013

Lucky ME. I like different age ranges for different reasons… Like I love the 18 month to 3 range because they are learning so much and starting to communicate but I hate the tantrums that go along with it. The 6 months to 12 months range is cute too…

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! She is a cutie pie.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!! I’m the same!! I have a 2.5 year old and my favorite time so far was from about 12-24 months. While she is still fun and discovering so many new things she has become a bit more challenging and loves to test the waters.

22.August.2013

lucky me!

3-6 – they have soooo much to tell you and are learning so much. it’s amazing.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
First time visiting and look, a draw! THIS is exactly why I wanted and still want a little girl. I love reading this, but this is kinda the OPPOSITE of my little boy (he is 30 months and GREAT, but just NOT a little girl).

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I don’t have kids so I’m not sure about my favorite age range, but I can imagine that watching them transition from baby to tiny person is probably pretty fascinating!

22.August.2013

Lucky me!
My favorite age is 9-12 months. So far anyways :)

LUCKY ME!

I wish! i never win stuff, but i love your blog… from waaaaaay back & that bookend is adorable – really.

Your family is beautiful, BTW.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!!! My 1-year old daughter’s room is decorated with elephants!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
Your daughter is a doll!

OH! i forgot to add my fav thing!
Hmm… pretty much any moment that includes cuddles that the pip-squeak initiates… they just aren’t as frequent as the years pass. Oh but i do also love the random jibber-gabber – wow… the “ot-of-left-field” things that pop out! And don’t let me forget to mention: my heart just melts when i get to hear the little songs that (she) makes up and sort of sings to herself; i wish i was together enough to record them but i don’t want to “disturb the moment” so i just pack it away into my memory & smile at my hubby, trying not to tear up…

22.August.2013

3-9 months is pretty magical.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
My girls are 5 and 7 now, and while I miss the baby and toddler years I love each new phase too.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

This elephant would be perfect for my daughter’s room!

LUCKY ME!

First of all, I have to say that I enjoyed reading this post so, so much.

My daughter recently turned one and she’s my first child, so I can’t speak to all ages, but lately I’ve noticed this different kind of happiness in myself when I’m around her. Certainly there have been many enjoyable stages to date, but she seems to be learning new things so rapidly now, it’s just a pleasure to get to watch her turn from a baby into a little person.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I love the cuddles of a newborn. It melts my heart.

22.August.2013

“LUCKY ME!”

My little man is only 9 months so I haven’t experienced many stages yet. But I am liking the crawler stage better than the sleepy infant stage.

22.August.2013

Lucky Me! This post made me cry… I have 17 month old twins, and everything you said is true. Granted I don’t have the older comparison, but every day is a wonderful adventure with these two.
The elephant would be so perfect for them… they were both elephants for Halloween last year, and I take their monthly pictures with a giant elephant. Also, I know that you have said that M is spoken for with Weston, but I think that my son would be a good contender for her… and we live in the Midwest too.. so much closer :)

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
My favorite stages have been newborn to 3ish, but now I’m not so sure. Today was the first day of kindergarten for my son and I am really looking forward to this new stage for us!

22.August.2013

Lucky Me! What a sweet post. I have 5 kids, and I think that probably my favorite age is 4 years old. They are verbally so much fun, with stories and imagination, you aren’t working around naps and cranky afternoons (too much!) and they are usually up for anything ie. walks, library, bike rides.

22.August.2013

Lucky Me
I have a beautiful 11 year old step daughter and an amazing 6 your old son and after a long wait (4.5 yrs ) We were blessed with our daughter 3 months ago. I love the age of discovery when everything is new and exciting between the age of 12 mos-2 yrs.

22.August.2013

Lucky Me! I love high school freshmen. Call me crazy, but they are not yet out of the awkward middle school phase in september, and by june they think they are hot stuff. they are figuring out who they are, how to deal with themselves, their families, their peers, their technology. they are confusing and angsty and excited and awesome. don’t have any yet (thank goodness) but I love volunteering with them.

22.August.2013

Lucky Me!

My first little man is still growing in my belly (24 weeks!)… I just love feeling his little kicks :)

22.August.2013

Lucky Me! my favorite she is 0-2 months, there is nothing like a brand new baby to hold and snuggle and they don’t stay that small for nearly long enough. I am loving my kids’ age right now too, they are 6 and 8 and so much fun.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

Mabrey is so stinking cute!!! You have a gorgeous family. I am not a mother, so I can’t relate, but I hear the same thing from all mothers…that children bring a magical joy to your life that they could never have imagined.

22.August.2013

Lucky Me! I don’t have kids yet but have lots of nieces. My favourite age to experience with them is right around the same as you enjoy. I love watching the wonder in their eyes as they discover new things and love that they really start to love interacting with people and cousins, dogs, etc.

22.August.2013

Lucky me!
My twins just turned 2 so that is now my favorite age. It may change when they turn 3 as I find myself always eating up what they are currently doing.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME
I have a 17 month old and also love this age. So magical watching them learn and explore

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
i think 2-3 is my fave so far. 4 is awfully whiny and 18 months is just bonkers :)
thanks for the giveaway!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I love all the stages. I have a 2.75 yo and a 2 mo and they are both fabulous!

22.August.2013

“Lucky me!” I would have say 15-24 month stage …. I love how they can sit and play with their toys for hours……..? What are some of your favorite toys for a little boy who is having his 1st birthday

22.August.2013

Lucky me!!!! Our kiddos are 4 & 9 and I love how they are learning new things everyday but I really miss them at the 12-24 months age :-(

Our 4 year old just learned how to ride her bike with no training wheels!!! Happy times :-)

Love your blog!!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I agree with you, this is my first, but I am enjoying the toddler stage!

22.August.2013

Lucky Me!! I love 2-3 range, they’re just so cute!

22.August.2013

“LUCKY ME” I love the 2’s. They were the opposite of terrible and I love how they want to help me with everything. I also like the ability to play on their own. It’s so fun to secretly watch what they come up with.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!! My youngest Veronica, will be 18 month on the 29 and I could not agree with you more. This is my last baby and it’s so bitter sweet this age – betwixt the baby stage and the kid stage (or terrible 3 stage). V is just super super sweet and all about momma right now. The best is when I say I love you ronnie and she says I ruv you mama back.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I love newborns (I could hold them all day) and 3-4 year olds crack me up! I loved my boys at that age. They’re 24 and 18 years old now :(

22.August.2013

Lucky me! I loved 13 months- 2 years. I have a feeling there is plenty more goodness to come, but 2.5 years is certainly a challenge ;)

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
Although I don’t have kids of my own, my favorite age to experience with kids is anywhere from 3-6 years. They are “little people”…old enough to do some things on their own, but young enough to still need you. And at that age, they think you’re “the bomb”. I always say once kids go to school (ie: first grade) they get corrupted by other kids. (ie: telling them there is no Santa, Tooth Fairy, etc).

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I don’t have kids, but I have a ton of cousins. It’s always the most fun when they are old enough to go places with me. 8 or 9 years old.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
This is my absolute favorite age too! I also wanted to tell you that i found your blog a few months ago and have been a loyal reader ever since! I love the design inspiration you create, and I love your downsizing story as well as you and your husband’s realistic speed! You and my other favorite design bloggers do such a great job of giving us all inspiration to make our houses beautiful and loved!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I loved my little babies– especially right after a bath! good memories.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My only child is just about to turn one, and it’s my favorite stage so far! he’s a very active little guy, crawling and cruising up a storm. It’s so much fun to watch him learn, and I can’t wait to see more of his mischievous little personality as he grows up and can express himself more and more.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

Gotta agree with you! Once they start walking and expoloring and learning to talk, I just love it!!! My baby girl just turned 1 and is almost walking. I remember it being such a sweet age with my son.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

It’s a toss up—I loved 8 months, but he is 20 months now and SO FUN!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

My son turned 1 yesterday, and my daughter is due to arrive in a little under 3 weeks. While I’m really sad that my baby boy is turning into a little boy, he becomes much more fun to be around and play with.

22.August.2013

LUCK ME!

I used to think it was the 2-3 range, but my niece is jut about to turn 2 and the past few months with her have been way more fun than I ever realized kids were before they were conversant.

22.August.2013

Lucky Me!

My favourite age is probably 6-10 months when they aren’t quite mobile yet ;) I’m the mama of 5 boys and once they start moving there is no stopping them!

22.August.2013

Lucky Me!

My daughter is almost 11 months and i have to say this is my favorite yet. Granted she’s my only daughter, but when she points to me, says “mam!” and giggles i just melt.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!!!

I love the age my daughter is at, 39 months. I love the conversations we have and also the little things she comes up with in her imagination. (WE have orange and white penguins that live in our front yard according to her!!!)

22.August.2013

Lucky Me!
I love that age, however while the newborn early stages may be a struggle, I absolutely love that new baby smell, and I’m partial to newborns and little ones in their sleep all the time, nap on the couch way. And ohh that smell..

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
My baby girl is almost 3 months. I’ve loved every short stage so far!

22.August.2013

Lucky me!

My baby girl is 7 months old now, but my favorite was when my stepdaughter was 4-5 years old. So small and curious and loves mommy but old enough to be able to communicate her needs. That stepdaughter is now 13 and OH BOY do I miss her being little.

22.August.2013

Lucky me!

No kids yet, but a 3 month old nephew who’s nursery is elephant themed.

22.August.2013

Lucky Me!

We had our third 9mths ago, he was a surprise for us too! I never thought I wanted more than 2, but my Mirena failed me and we got a surprise! I can’t imagine not having our little guy now though, its our last chance to experience those baby years, and he’s such a good baby! My favorite age is probably 9-24, thats a huge range but i love watching them learn to crawl/walk/run! Then I love the 2-4 range when they’re talking and saying silly things! I could do without the sassyness though!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I love my son’s 7 month stage right now– so smiley! I do NOT love my older son’s 2 1/2 stage– so cranky!

22.August.2013

Lucky Me!

I have a friend expecting a little girl and this would look adorable in her room:)

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I also have a surprise baby girl… she’s 5 months old now. My favorite age, witnessed with my other two children, is 6-18 months. I can’t wait to experience it again with my littlest.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I think 6 – 9 months is one of my favorites. Just love the smiles and giggles!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I’ll figure out my favorite age once I get done cooking number 1!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!!

I love toddlers before they could talk! They just follow you and do their things.
And since they can’t talk yet, there isn’t as much verbal screaming, or tantrums.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My son is 2 years old and we have the most amazing conversations. =)

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
She is beautiful! Lucky you!
I have two girls, one is 2.5 right now and it’s just magical.
Thanks for the lovely stories and all the best on your brick painting, I agree, it’s time!
Carrie

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I’m loving so many things about all of my kids ages…my oldest is so smart, my older middle is so excited for school,my younger middle wants to be a baby again, and my littles walking everywhere!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
My 2 children are grown, and I have loved all their ages. I do love preschool toddler age, but have found wonderful aspects to all ages!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! Loved reading your post about your daughter. she sounds so adorable and so many cute quirks that make her unique. I can’t wait to have kids of my own and watched them develop into an amazing person right in front of me.

22.August.2013

Lucky me! My youngest is turning 4 tomorrow (and really has a thing for elephants). She’s heading into my favorite age. Independent but innocent and oh so curious. We’re going to have a great year while the older ones are at school. :)

22.August.2013

Lucky me!
We are expecting our first, I can’t wait to see her grow! :)

22.August.2013

Lucky me!

My husband and I are doing IVF this fall. Elephant are a token of fertility so… Serendipitous?
It’s very cute. Love it and I love your blog. I’m a new reader to House Tweaking.

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I love newborns…. they smell so sweet and are impossible to stay away from!

22.August.2013

LUCKY ME! i like once they start getting a little personality. four months and up

22.August.2013

She’s adorable. Wish I could step back in time to enjoy that age with my boys for a day. So glad you are stopping to smell the roses. Thanks for sharing.

22.August.2013

Lucky me! Mom to 6 here… really love the newborns! There is nothing better than those first few days with a new baby. ;)

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME! The best age starts at 4 months, I think. When they can actually start to interact? The best.

23.August.2013

Lucky me! My girl is 23 months old and I just love having little conversations with her. I think my favorite age is definitely toddler-preschool.

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME! No kids yet, but I love babies, newborns are so precious and I can’t wait to have one of my own ;)

23.August.2013

lucky me! Working on my first – I’m 21 weeks so i’ll have to give you a raincheck on my favorite age ;)

23.August.2013

Lucky Me! I loved the age of 9 months to 24 months! They start exploring the world around them and show beginnings of their personality. My kids are 8 and 6 so seeing the pictures of your daughter sitting with her Berry and book brings tears to my eyes.

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I love it when babies hit the stage where they actively engage and want to play.

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I have a 4 and 2 year old. I love the combination of their ages. I get all of the cuddles from my 2 year old daughter, and the great and thoughtful conversations with my four year old son.
Mabrey is so adorable by the way.

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME

I love elephants!

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME!
I have an almost 2 year old and this is my favorite age! He is really starting to be able to communicate and understand what I am saying. He is constantly learning how to do new things!

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME! love your blog!

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME!!

My little one is 12 months. Crazy as a bat and so much fun. She is my first and I think all the stages are/will be exciting but this is my favorite so far.

23.August.2013

Lucky me! My baby is only weeks old so I like every age we come upon :)

23.August.2013

Lucky me !!!

My daughter, Ava is 6 – such an amazing age! She still little but, so sweet & wise!
Love watching her grow! Just like your daughter has ‘Berry’ my Ava has her
“Ellie” the pink elephant stuffed animal (given to her at birth in the hospital by her
sweet big brother Cole)! Ava LOVES pink elephants!!!

Love your blog!

23.August.2013

Lucky Me! I am with you on the toddler age. I love watching my Fiona develop her personality.

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME! Right now all I know is the constant kicking INSIDE of me from these twins! I can’t wait to get to know them and all of their different stages.

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I have always enjoyed what I call “happy baby on a blanket”stage when they can sit up, play with toys, smile and babble a lot and NOT crawl yet! Of course, each stage brings something fun but that one seems especially sweet!

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I’m experiencing life with my first little one who is 3months old, but I have 8 nieces and nephews and I would say my favorite age is when they’re starting to talk!

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME! My son will be 3 in October and every age he’s been so far has been my favorite. He’s been away this entire week with his Grandma & Grandpa in Indianapolis and he comes home tomorrow and I cannot wait to have him back!!

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I would have to say my favorite age so far has been the 2-2 1/2. I love watching my little guy pick up on everything and remember special things!

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME! I only have one four month old and, so far, the four month old stage has been the most fun. I’m looking forward to seeing what other tricks the little man can do in the months to come but savoring every (non-crying) moment at the same time!

23.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

We have one 4 month old little man. Every new day is my favorite age so far!

23.August.2013

lucky me!

2-3 years.

23.August.2013

lucky me!!!

I don’t have any kids yet but am going to school to be a teacher! My favourite age is early elementary school age (5-7). They become such awesome little people at that age and start forming their own opinions about stuff.
Although, it’s definitely followed closely by the 1-2 year old age range because they are just so darn cute when they’re awkwardly toddling around.

24.August.2013

Lucky Me!
My favorite age is also 16-24 months because you get to see them coming into there little personalities and they are becoming independent as well.

24.August.2013

Lucky me! It’s so hard for me to pick a favorite age. I definitely love 18-24 months, but with my daughter quickly approaching three… I can tell I’m going to be a fan of this age!

24.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

I agree…so far the 18-24 months would be my fav! So fun to see all the new things they are learning and learn more about their little personalities!!!

24.August.2013

Lucky Me!! My son is 17 months, and I am loving his age right now. He is so much fun!

24.August.2013

Lucky Me!
My youngest child is 8 right now and I have to say 7-8 year olds are pretty awesome. She is funny and sweet so I think this is a pretty terrific age, or that may be it’s because of the daily battles with my 13 yo daughter.( 13 is definitely not my favorite)

25.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

My daughter is only 3 months so I’m still discovering and learning about what each age brings!

25.August.2013

Lucky Me!!!! My favorite age is around 2!!

25.August.2013

LUCKY ME! Can’t wait to find out.

25.August.2013

LUCKY ME!

Well… Our little man is only 12 weeks old!!! But we are loving him more and more with every hour. Is that even possible??? Gah.
That bookend would be perfect in his nursery… That we are still working on! His little white ceramic elephant would complement that adorable bookend perfectly!

25.August.2013

Lucky me!
My baby girl (our first) is 20 months, and I agree it is the best! She learns something new almost every single day!

26.August.2013

Oh man, unlucky me! I can’t believe I missed this! :(

I can never choose a favorite age! I looooove the newborn stage. But then I love each stage after that. I’m always thinking “Man, this is my favorite age!” And then we move on and I think it again. It probably ends some time after 5 yrs…I still love it all but I definitely love the younger years.

I cannot believe how big she is getting!! She is so precious and looks just like her momma!

19.March.2014

Looking back at this post and wondering where you got that little gold elephant? So cute!

19.March.2014

Target!

19.March.2014

Thanks! I lovelovelove it, but looks I’m a little too late. Can’t find it anywhere.
