A few things that brought a smile to my face…

*Alison’s big kitchen reveal was smile-inducing and mind-blowing.

*A house looking for a home. (I want to save it myself so badly.)

*Dogs are smart.

*Kids are smarter.

*A secret, messy project in the works.

*The Glow is coming to print! (I pre-ordered my copy.)

*I love it when Mabrey decorates.

I hope you do something that makes you smile this weekend. Until next time, friends!

I’ve watched that dog steal those nuggets more times than I care to admit and I still laugh each and every time. More importantly, that dog earned those nuggest!

Definitely have a couple plans for the weekend that I know will make me smile. Furniture shopping for the new place and some much needed catch up time with my sister while hubby is out of town :) Happy you’re smiling too. PS. You are STUNNING miss Dana!

I don’t mean to be weird, but gosh, you’re pretty. When are you giving us a workout/beauty routine post? I know it isn’t decor related, technically, but it is when you consider the logistics of having time for all things tweaking while still dealing with other life stuff. I struggle with that balance sometimes and I’m not even a mom. Inquiring minds want to know.

I was thinking the same thing. Beautiful!
Thanks for sharing all of the links.

Haha, I second the “you look so pretty!” comments (and am also not trying to be weird). I loved this little roundup, especially the part about the Sears house. I think I remember reading about a wonderful Sears house renovation in a neighborhood near mine, either in House Beautiful or maybe Renovation Style awhile back…..an adorable, well-made Craftsman featuring a well-thought out addition.

Have a great weekend!

We actually looked at a Sears craftsman house when we were looking to downsize. It was so cute! The location wasn’t ideal so we passed but I still think about that house.

Thanks for replying, and yay, internet! Here is the Sears house I remember reading about (the link above goes to the architecture firm’s website); it’s just lovely. There are some before and after pics of the exterior and a few of the upstairs master suite addition. The magazine feature had many more photos than this website does. I’m going to have to find it at home and revisit it.

Love all the craftsman details! The addition looks quite natural.

The wall color in the kitchen is Benjamin Moore tapestry beige. The step stool you speak of hails from IKEA.

Hi, you’re adorable! I am just wondering why you are standing on your toes like that? At first I thought you were wearing very minimal shoes, but then I realized you were barefoot. Funny!

I am almost always barefoot. Standing on my toes? I don’t know. I just went with it. I have a background in ballet so maybe that has something to do with it??
