I really love reading all your stuff, but my favorite would probably be your tutorials. I’m new to the whole homeownership/decorating/having a disposable income thing and I love learning from your tips! I especially liked your post on decorating for a large open floor plan, where you gave tips on how to make it all feel connected but with still feel like you had zones.. My parents have a home like that, so I sent them your post. I like the DIY stuff too, but sometimes, I just need the basics!

Hey, I’m a 24 year old NJ mom, originally from Brookyn. My name is Hebrew and complicated, hence the first initial. I love everything home decor related and love good ideas for child proof chicness. We just moved into our first house, with an almost two year old and I am trying to tackle everything at once! My budget is nonexistent at this point, according to my (non-handy) hubby, so cheap chic definitely works for me.
I love your house and your blog, especially mood boards,before and afters, and all tweaks. I guess Etsy posts are the least exciting for me.

I am totally loving the few mood boards I have seen you do, I think it’s great to be able to inspire other people (plus I’m pretty sure I’ll eventually send you an email begging you to do it for me! I love the etsy finds, reading about your family life, but I think what I really love about your blog is your ability to decorate at almost 0 cost to yourself. I love reading about the things you guys do (although for some of us out here, we don’t have a Handy Hubby!) and how cheap you do it for. My favorites are probably the drop cloth, the wrapping paper, and your kitchen cabinets.

Your design process, how you get an idea, how you turn that idea into a reality… I think that’s one of the things I personally would like to see. I’m pretty much not artistic at all, so any ideas on how to force that out would be great! :)

1. I’m Shannon, 26 from Deposit, NY. I am getting married in July but we have 3 kids(8 & 5 year old boys and a little girl about to turn3). We are “renting” my fiance’s childhood home but since it is being left to him we get to do pretty much whatever we want to it. No pets, and I am a stay at home mom and I also do a little bit of photography.
