I can tell autumn is coming. The sun is a bit lower in the sky, rising later and setting earlier. There is a brief period mid-morning where our bedroom is washed in the most amazing warm glow of sunlight. It gives the room a totally different feel. Typically, our bedroom is the darkest room in the house so this light show – however brief – is most welcome. I’ve sorta made a game of sneaking up on it and witnessing every last ray until the sun moves on to the front of the house. A small miracle in my book.
Lately, I’ve been feeling extra thankful. Thankful for these brief moments and small miracles. Thankful my children are healthy. Thankful I have the opportunity to watch them grow and learn and make mistakes. Thankful for the life and home HH and I are making together. Thankful for the little snippets of ‘me time’ I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy recently, no, FINALLY. Thankful for all the other creatives {or crazies?} like me out there who want nothing more than to show an old house a little love, spray paint something gold or simply keep one plant alive for longer than two weeks. Thankful I have this piece of interwebs to share my ramblings and interests. And thankful for those who take time out of their busy days to read them.
