02.02.10 / Etsy Pillow Covers

My name is Dana.  And I have a pillow fetish.  I’ll admit it.  If there is a flat surface for seating, I will cover it in pillows.  I’m not sure what it is about pillows that makes me love them so.  The comfort?  The ease of switching them out seasonally?  The inexpensive cost?  The added color, pattern or texture they provide on a small scale?  The forts my boys build with them?  Whatever it is, I fall fast and hard for pillows.

To keep costs down (and style up) on my pillow passion, I buy pillow covers.  Buying just the cover is usually cheaper than buying a pillow form already covered.  If there’s a pillow I’m not really diggin’, I can easily disguise it with a cover – no new stuffing needed.  Plus, if I’m buying online, shipping costs are less expensive for covers alone.  My favorite place to buy pillow covers?  Etsy.

Etsy is “your place to buy & sell all things handmade.”  (Those are their own words.)  From artwork to baby clothes to pillow covers, you can find something original made on almost any continent.  Here are my Etsy pillow covers.

See?  I told you I have a pillow fetish.  So, if you’re looking for a fresh pillow or original wall art OR cutsie one-of-a-kind baby clothes, look no further than Etsy.  And if you aren’t looking for any of those things, just check it out for some fun window shopping or inspiration.  (P.S. – No one is paying me to say this… I just really like Etsy.)

Dana, I have the same issue!!!! We have at least 6 pillows on our family room sofa and one if not two in every chair! My hubby does not understand it either, nor does he get that he should “refluff” after sitting on them. :)

Sarah – Oh, yes. Refluffing is a must. I’ve learned to wait until the end of the day to refluff otherwise I’m doing it 100 times daily. 80% of the time, our pillows are on the floor so the boys can jump on them.

I am SO with you on this one- you can never have too many pillows! So many different decor options with such a small amount of fabric. And I’ll second the Etsy addiction- I don’t know what I did before them!
