“CURTAIN CALL!” The last performance I saw was a small ensemble from the local symphony. It was scaled down for a children’s show of Peter Rabbit. It’s always great to see something through your child’s eyes.

Curtain Call! Just two days ago I saw the Dave Matthews Band for the umpteenth time. It’s the perfect summer concert to enjoy with friends tailgating before and after and sitting outside just enjoying the music!

However, the last one I had the pleasure of seeing was last week at a children’s camp for kids with chronic illnesses. That’s right, a true talent show, through and through! It was amazing watching these brave 7-16 year olds go up and present their talent (including Harry Potter-esque wizardry skills and joke-telling mixed with some awesome One Direction sing-a-longs!). Missing camp already… thanks for this opportunity!

This is kind of crappy. I’m a professional musician so I’m usually in the show that I might otherwise be going to see. The last performance I remember seeing was the Nutcracker at Christmas time. I was playing the show, but I took off for one of them and took my then 3 year old daughter. She was mesmerized and good as gold the whole way through. I was just as amazed at her as I was with the wonderful dancers and orchestra.

It was great, except for the fact that it took us almost an hour to find our car! We arrived late and parked FAR away… finding the car may have been more memorable then the concert for my children.

The last performance I went to was a modernized version of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The theatre company did a great job at engaging the audience and adding elements of humor. I was so sad when it finished.

As to the show… it was a punk rock show at the lovely Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia. Sometimes a mosh pit isn’t so bad.

CURTAIN CALL! oh so lovely! my last live performance was just two weeks ago. it was a small, local theater production, “back to the past”. it was a “back to the future” spoof. it was wonderful! the caliber of talent was as good as any of the broadway shows i’ve seen. and the music of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s….love!

Curtain call….I am going to see Bruce Hornsby on Saturday evening. I’m so excited to enjoy some live music and chill out at my first concert of the summer!
